Visitamos Systembolaget para comprar alcohol en Suecia [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! algo que mi esposo y yo nos enteramos cuando llegamos a Suecia es que la venta de alcohol está regulada por el estado, así que todas las bebidas alcohólicas con contenido de alcohol mayor o superior al 3,5 % solo se pueden comprar en las tiendas estatales monopolísticas llamadas Systembolaget, por lo que claro que teníamos que visitar una.

Hi, everyone! Something my husband and I learned when we arrived in Sweden is that the sale of alcohol is regulated by the government, so all alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of 3.5% or higher can only be purchased at state-run stores called Systembolaget. So, of course, we had to visit one.

En estas tiendas solo venden bebidas alcohólicas y algo que me sorprendió mucho al llegar a esta, es que es una tienda muy grande, muy organizada y muy limpia, y ustedes mismos pueden verlo en las fotos de este post, cervezas en un lado, vino en otro, licores en otro y todo muy bien señalado. Nosotros queríamos probar cerveza de Suecia por supuesto, y gracias a los preciadores no teníamos que buscar en internet, ya que estos además del precio ponen la bandera del país de origen.

These stores only sell alcoholic beverages, and something that really surprised me when I walked in was how large, well-organized, and clean it was. You can see for yourselves in the photos in this post: beer on one side, wine on another, spirits on yet another, and everything clearly labeled. We wanted to try Swedish beer, of course, and thanks to the price tags, we didn’t have to look it up online, since they display not only the price but also the flag of the country of origin.

Recuerdo que habían varias personas trabajando allí, y la verdad es que fueron muy amables, por lo que me encantó la atención, otra cosa que pude ver es que ninguna bebida alcohólica allí se vende refrigerada, y además no había ningun tipo de promoción ni descuento como comumente se encuentra en Polonia.

I remember there were several people working there, and honestly, they were very friendly, so I loved the service. Another thing I noticed is that no alcoholic beverages there are sold chilled, and there weren’t any promotions or discounts like you commonly find in Poland.

Otra cosa que aprendimos de esta tienda, es que tiene un horario limitado pues trabajan de 10am a 7pm (algunas veces hasta las 8pm), los sábados hasta las 3 pm y los domingos no abren, todo esto es para reducir el consumo de alcohol y por supuesto proteger la salud pública, muy interesante la verdad, así que si van a Suecia y quieren comprar bebidas alcohólicas con contenido de alcohol mayor al 3,5 %, recuerden que este post o pueden ir al supermercado pero ya saben que no van a conseguir cerveza con mayor contenido de alcohol.

Another thing we learned about this store is that it has limited hours: it’s open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (sometimes until 8 p.m.), on Saturdays until 3 p.m., and it’s closed on Sundays. All of this is to reduce alcohol consumption and, of course, protect public health—which is actually quite interesting. So if you’re going to Sweden and want to buy alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content higher than 3.5%, remember this post—or you can go to the supermarket, but keep in mind that you won’t be able to find beer with a higher alcohol content there.
