Visitamos Sabay Bar en Ko Chang y nos encantó [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! otro lugar que visitabamos a diario mientras estuvimos en la isla Ko Chang, fue el restaurante Sabay Bar, no solo porque estaba ubicado cerca de nuestro hospedaje, es decir en White Sand Beach, sino también porque como ven en las fotos de este post, es un sitio muy bonito donde se pasa genial y además se come delicioso, y no solo eso, debo resaltar que la atención allí es espectacular y se toman en serio los pedidos, además la playa en frente hace que de verdad vayas allí a relajarte por lo que a nosotros nos encantó.

Hi everyone! Another place we visited every day while we were on Ko Chang Island was the restaurant Sabay Bar, not only because it was located near our accommodation—that is, on White Sand Beach—but also because, as you can see in the photos in this post, it’s a very beautiful spot where you can have a great time and enjoy delicious food. And not only that, I must emphasize that the service there is spectacular and they take your orders seriously. Plus, the beach right in front of it makes it the perfect place to go and truly relax, which is why we loved it so much.

La primera vez que fuímos allí fue porque nos llamó la atención su decoración y es que como ven son unas medusas coloridas e iluminadas colgando de un árbol, además la buena música en vivo también nos llevó allí, pero como ya habíamos cenado ese día solo fuímos a relajarnos mientras nos tomabamos un par de cervezas y le echamos un vistazo al menú para volver la noche siguiente, el cual les cuento es variado, pues tienen comida Tailandesa, pasta, pizzas y algunas cosas para niños, además diferentes bebidas como batidos, cervezas y cócteles deliciosos.

The first time we went there was because the decor caught our eye—as you can see, there are colorful, glowing jellyfish hanging from a tree—and the great live music also drew us in, but since we’d already had dinner that day, we just went to relax while having a couple of beers and took a look at the menu to come back the following night. I’ll tell you, the menu is varied—they have Thai food, pasta, pizza, and some kids’ options, plus different drinks like milkshakes, beers, and delicious cocktails.

La noche siguiente si volvimos pero más temprano ya que nos enteramos que tienen espectáculo de fuegos que nos perdimos el primer día por ir tarde, así que también este día aprovechamos de probar la comida allí y les cuento que comimos una pasta a la boloñesa muy deliciosa, a Olivia le pedimos una porción de arroz y huevo cocido (y debo resaltar que el chico que nos atendió todas esas noches siguientes se tomaba muy en serio mi pedido ya que como saben Olivia tiene sensibilidad al huevo por lo que solo puede comerlo bien cocido y si lo come de otra manera o poco cocido le da un fuerte de dolor de barriga, esto se lo expliqué al chico y él me entendió lo cual en otro restaurante que visitabamos no fue así).

The next night we did go back, but earlier, since we found out they have a fireworks show that we missed the first day because we arrived late. So that day we also took the opportunity to try the food there, and I’ll tell you, we had a very delicious pasta Bolognese. For Olivia, we ordered a serving of rice and a hard-boiled egg (and I should point out that the guy who served us all those following nights took my request very seriously, since, as you know, Olivia is sensitive to eggs, so she can only eat them well-cooked; if she eats them any other way or undercooked, she gets a severe stomachache. I explained this to him, and he understood—which wasn’t the case at another restaurant we visited).

Después de comer nos quedabamos allí tomando cerveza y disfrutando de la música, además de otros espectáculos que daban y que eran muy interesantes, Olivia se divertía jugando con sus juguetes en la arena o mojando sus pies con el agua del mar y no tuvimos ningún problema por estar allí mucho tiempo, así que si me preguntan, este es uno de los lugares que más extraño de la isla, porque la pasabamos muy bien allí, nos relajabamos y todos los chicos que atendían eran muy amables (a ellos también los extraño), así que sin duda alguna si van a Ko Chang en Tailandia yo les recomiendo visitar este bar y restaurante, pues estoy segura que les va a encantar tanto como a nosotros.

After lunch, we’d stay there drinking beer and enjoying the music, as well as other shows they put on that were really interesting. Olivia had fun playing with her toys in the sand or dipping her feet in the ocean water, and we had no problem staying there for a long time, so if you ask me, this is one of the places I miss most about the island, because we had such a great time there—we relaxed, and all the staff were very friendly (I miss them too). So without a doubt, if you’re going to Ko Chang in Thailand, I recommend visiting this bar and restaurant, because I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as we did.
