Fui a conocer plaza mayor. [ESP-ENG]

Y por aquí seguimos conociendo un poco más del estado Anzoátegui y con mi amiga y su familia nos fuimos a conocer plaza mayor. Y es que yo la verdad de todas las veces que había venido a este estado no había visitado este lugar. Una de mis mejores amigas vivió en este estado por varios años y me dijo que debía conocer plaza mayor.

And so we continued exploring Anzoátegui state, and my friend and her family and I went to visit Plaza Mayor. To be honest, of all the times I'd been to this state, I'd never visited this place. One of my best friends lived here for several years and told me I had to see Plaza Mayor.

Estábamos en el centro de puerto la cruz, tomamos un autobús que nos dejó bastante cerca de plaza mayor, hace algunos días cuando recién llegue a este estado pase cerca de este lugar solo que era de noche, con mi amiga fuimos de día para disfrutar un poco de este lugar.

We were in downtown Puerto La Cruz, we took a bus that dropped us off quite close to Plaza Mayor. A few days ago, when I first arrived in this state, I passed near this place, but it was at night. My friend and I went during the day to enjoy this place a little.

Al llegar a plaza mayor lo primero que hicimos fue ir al súper mercado más por menos, ya que mi amiga iba a buscar un regalo para su hija y en esto también aprovechamos de comernos un helado y debo decir que estaba delicioso.

Upon arriving at Plaza Mayor, the first thing we did was go to the Más por Menos supermarket, since my friend was going to look for a gift for her daughter, and while we were there we also took the opportunity to eat an ice cream and I must say it was delicious.

Comenzamos a caminar por plaza mayor, ver algunas de las tiendas y también me tomé una foto sola con mi amiga y es que en todas las fotos salíamos con su hija y decidimos tomarnos una foto solas. Y es que es increíble como los amigos del liceo se vuelven familia. Tenemos aproximadamente 20 años de amistad y los años que faltan.

We started walking around the main square, looking at some of the shops, and I even took a picture with my friend. In all the photos we'd taken, we were with her daughter, so we decided to take one just the two of us. It's amazing how high school friends become like family. We've been friends for about 20 years, and many more to come.

Debo decir que plaza mayor me pareció un lugar muy lindo. Mi amiga me dice que ella siempre que puede viene y lleva a su hija a un parque que está en este lugar.

I must say, I found Plaza Mayor to be a very beautiful place. My friend tells me that she comes here whenever she can and takes her daughter to a park located there.

Que lindo es ver qué luego de tantos años seguimos siendo muy buenas amigas y ahora verla convertida en madre. Que aunque no somos familia si hija me puede llamar tía y sobretodo sentirme muy amada en este tiempo tan difícil de mi vida.

It's so wonderful to see that after so many years we're still such good friends, and now to see her become a mother. Even though we're not family, her daughter can call me aunt, and above all, she makes me feel so loved during this difficult time in my life.

Luego decidimos caminar a la parte de atrás de plaza mayor para ver la parte donde se ve el agua y me pareció muy lindo esto. La bebé de mi amiga decía que se quería bañar en la playa y le explicamos que no se podía bañar. Agradezco que mi amiga me muestre partes bonitas del estado Anzoátegui y me enseñe un poco de este estado que se ha convertido en su casa. Ya que ella es de la isla pero se mudo a Anzoátegui para estudiar y aquí hizo su vida.

Then we decided to walk to the back of the main square to see the area with the water, and I thought it was beautiful. My friend's baby kept saying she wanted to go swimming at the beach, and we explained that she couldn't. I appreciate my friend showing me beautiful parts of Anzoátegui state and teaching me a little about this state that has become her home. She's originally from the island but moved to Anzoátegui to study and has made her life here.
