For My Son, Every Journey Is Worth It

It's 3:15 am currently in my part of the world. It's been a while since I experienced difficulty in sleeping, but somehow this night, I find myself forcing sleep from my eyes without success.

My mind kept wandering about, thinking aloud over many things, especially my travelling to the east in a few hours' time. For some reason, I feel tired over this travelling, but I have no choice. I wish it's something I could just fly and find myself in the eastern part of my country without having to face the road stress.

I think the thought of what I passed through in my last travel is part of what is giving me overthinking this night. I have imagined the long distance, the number of hours I am going to sit in the bus, and the discomfort in my legs because, obviously, the bus wouldn't be too comfortable to stretch my legs as I want. Of course, it's not a bed, lol.

A lot is going on in my mind right now, but instead of overthinking, I guess I should just pray and face the reality since it's an unavoidable trip. My son has an appointment with his consultant in Enugu. This medical checkup is a routine activity that happens every three months. I wouldn't deny the fact that ever since we were referred to Enugu l Lagos, my son's health has improved greatly, all thanks to God, because till tomorrow, I will give 100% credit to the great physician for using most of the consultants in Enugu to come through for my son.

So you see, the journey is all worth it; it's all worth the stress, although I would have loved it if I was able to afford travelling by air this time, but it's all good. Hopefully we reach safely and on time.

To make the journey easier, I visited GUO Park here in Lagos to buy tickets for my son and me. Behold, this transport system is still charging like we are still in the Christmas season. Today is January 28th, and I paid #90,000 for my son and me. Before Christmas, it was 38k for one person, but it looks like they are still observing the festive season with their ticket prices despite the fact that the cost of petrol has reduced a little bit.

I expected something lower in price, but it is what it is.Our bus leaves by 6am prompt, and since I can't find sleep, I am done packing our travelling bags. Hopefully I will get some sleep while in transit if motion sickness relieves me today.

It's another thing I have been thinking aloud. I hate the way I usually throw up on the bus. It's always so uncomfortable, making me not enjoy trips at all.

I am yet to discover how this motion sickness can stop completely, and I don't mind if you have any helpful info to share about it.
