If you already read this blog, you know that I finished my OJT a month ago. But before I proceeded to Producers Bank just five minutes away from my home, I tried to look for other companies. My friend believed that I have further opportunities outside our city due to my strong credentials. I guess she's right. My mindset back then was that if it didn't work, I still had a backup.

On June 3, 2025, I woke up early to print my resume at my aunt’s place. I also informed my mother that I would try to ask NEECO and SM if they accept OJT students. It's just unfortunate that no one accompanied me, but I needed to overcome my fear. That was also the day when my dad returned to our home since his work is still in Manila. It was also my way to treat myself after all the stress that I experienced during the first quarter of the year.

I rode an XLT alone to travel to their main office in Talavera. It was also my first time to travel that far without knowing where it exactly was. Therefore, I used Google Maps to track the exact location, and I successfully arrived. I remember asking the guard if they accepted OJT students, and he told me yes. He prompted me to their official office and provided me with the requirements. The only problem with them was their own MOA, meaning that I unsuccessfully secured it. Therefore, I proceeded to another location, which is SM.
After failing to secure the MOA, I traveled from Talavera to Cabanatuan. I still remember that it suddenly rained hard, and I'm glad that I brought an umbrella. It was also a miracle that I didn't get my documents wet. Then, the driver told me that I should leave the jeep since it would not route to SM. I didn't have a choice but to rent a special tricycle ride, although it cost me 100 pesos.
Once I arrived, I felt satisfied since it was my first time to travel that far alone. To be honest, I've traveled without my parents from my hometown to Cabanatuan multiple times together with my friends. However, it's more fulfilling if you travel alone for the first time. For me, that's one of the biggest achievements that I had in 2025.
While looking at the facility, I couldn't believe that I would roam alone. The first thing that I did after I arrived was contact my mother to tell her that I was already there. Then, I also checked the cinema since I was planning to watch Final Destination 6 alone. I also remembered the exact time slots. After that, I roamed around the whole mall since I knew that it would take me years to visit it again.
Of course, I won't forget why I was here. I asked the guard on the first floor, and he prompted me to use the elevator and ask the elevator attendant. The staff guided me to the fourth floor and showed me where I would submit the documents. I was quite frightened since I didn't have any friend or supporter with me. Luckily, I managed to submit my resume without further problems. However, I didn't receive any email or call from the company. Regardless of the circumstances, I didn't regret it since I utilized the time to enjoy myself.

After successfully submitting my documents, I went straight to McDo to eat my lunch. I only ordered one piece of chicken and rice together with a Coke Float. It's my favorite order, and it's just sad that I didn't bring extra rice. It cost me more than ₱100, and I love how thick their chicken is. I was skeptical whether I would go to Chowking or KFC, but McDo was the only place where seats were available.
Once I finished eating, I proceeded to buy a ticket from the cinema. I watched Final Destination: Bloodlines, the sixth installment of the franchise. Upon watching, you'll realize how unexciting it was compared to other installments. No one survived in the movie, and I'm glad that I watched it in HD. I had watched the pirated version before, but it was very low quality. However, I'm glad that the ticket was well-spent due to its higher-quality display and bigger screen. This is despite the fact that I felt out of place since many groups of friends and couples watched the movie together.

Before I returned home, I informed my mother that I was going home. I also withdrew some money from my savings account. That's the only thing that I did at SM, and I'm happy that it helped me mentally. It's sometimes good to go out and try different things. If I have the chance again, I will visit SM again to pamper myself. Now that I don't have money yet, I need to sacrifice first. After finishing the movie, I looked for a bus or jeep that routes to our hometown. Good thing I found a jeep, and I only spent ₱58 compared to ₱160 from the town proper to SM.
