Amsterdam a Town of Street Art - Part 2 (6 Photos)

We are back in Amsterdam again for this week post. In particular we are taking a little walk around the Northern Amsterdam, - Ijplien in particular on a Sunday morning, early, because I woke up early and needed to explore.

This was a building bhind the Jumbo, was it abandoned, I don't know, was it home to some nice pieces, definitely, the scale of some of them worked, the use of just two colours made it more powerful

And combined with the detritus of everyday life it really came alive.

There was also smaller scale work, I like this bear past-up a lot, and I know it's likely not cool to Amsterdamians as it's so common but the GEB Logo on their substations is amazing.

This is another smaller, blink a you miss it piece - or should I say two pieces, or three or more, it's the interplay.

I realise now that I photogrpahed two similar versions of this (the first is in Part 1) on two different days, in two very different parts of town, it's still a very cool parrot in the hoodie.

And last but not least is a reminder of what most of the streetart in the world looks like, the things that are much harder to love, but also the things that are the foundation on which all the rest is built.
