STREET ART #248 – Beautiful portrait in Aarhus, Denmark
This beautiful portrait is found in the city center of Aarhus, one of the larger cities in Denmark. The title « Beautiful Age» is painted by artist Hendrik Beikirch. As I don't know the artist from before, I had to look for information and found out that he is a based in Germany. I did quess he might be German because of the name... I found out that he paints beautiful black and white portraits. Seems he has done lots of work around the world, but I haven't come across work done by him before this work in Aarhus.
His black and white work does make a powerful inpression. His portraits certainly have personalities and expression of emotions. His portraits are just as eye-catching as those in colors.
His portraits are not just subjects. They have character that I think comes out much more strongly when he uses nothing but black and white and not the full color palette. Impressive work.
