Morons and idiots are everywhere, and nobody likes them... In your country, in my country, everywhere... Btw. Speaking of the country where I live atm (Spain), can't believe it's labeled "increased caution"... lol... I can't say it's safer than the USA as I wasn't there, but from the words of American friends who moved here, I would say it is... 😃
Anyway, back to the topic... Sometimes I have a feeling that this kind of advices are published to "discourage" people from visiting other places, to see that it can be BETTER than in your OWN country... The media likes to spin things by titles like: "Look at others, they have cartels, and robberies... We don't!" You know that joke about the dirty laundry...
A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood.
The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the washing outside.
“That laundry is not very clean; she doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.”
Her husband looked on, remaining silent.
Every time her neighbour hung her washing out to dry, the young woman made the same comments.
A month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, “Look, she’s finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?”
The husband replied, “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.”

I know this name. Without cheating and googling it I am going to say that I have read several medium sized books by him. Kind of inspirational stuff.
A friend of mine recently reterned from Spain for a golf tournament and he had photos and what not and said he absolutely loved it there. They were traveling quite posh because the girl who was in the tournament is u-13 ranked globally and kind of a big deal... so they weren't exactly staying in dangerous parts of town. I'll have to ask him more about that trip when I see him again but he lives in a different part of the country than I do.
But yes, morons are everywhere and while there are some nationalities that seem to be a bit better at it than others, they can come from any country.
I suppose it was Marbella, or something similar... as there the millionaires and golf players live... 😃 + It does have beautiful weather almost all year... ;)
