Hey coinjoe thats a real bonus only having to drive 25 minutes, I have driven 2 marathon trip just to do a parkrun. The longest was 20 hours because of flooded roads and the other was 12 hours. I have driven many 6 to 9 hour trips. I am not the only addicted parkrunner in Australia there are many, many others maybe hundreds every weekend who are "parkrun tourists". enjoy your local parkrun and when the opportunity presents visit another
Yep, you are certainly serious. Even in my days when I was a serious runner I never drove that far for a race. I am not a runner anymore. Health issues prevent it. I was looking more toward the walking and comradery possibly. Also can''t drive, so would have to rely on others for transportation. Will have to discuss with the wife and see if we may not make it into an occasional Saturday outing.
