The Grotto, Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia.
The Grotto felt like it could have been something out of the Lord of the Rings. A caved archway and a sink hole, some dream time land and sea guardians just down the road a bit. This could actually be a portal back and into the dream time, all you have to do is jump the stone wall and wade through the archway into the forbidden pool. Maybe when the last of the 12 apostles finally get eroded away all hell will break loose. Somebody is going to have to step up and save us all. Until then we will all have to just keep paying the high fuel prices involved the travelling and being a tourist.
I suppose at high tide the waves must come crashing through but on this occasion, it was calm and peaceful.
We got here early enough to have the place to ourselves for a bit. There were a few cars in the car park, but people were spread out walking at different speeds along the board walks and stairs which made it nice. I am sure it would not be long before it got much busier.
We were not at this viewpoint long as there were lot more place to see with the weather so good.
I was surprised much grows here at all but there were some protected spots.Β Β Some of my other Great Ocean Road trip.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Loch Ard Gorge, Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. - TravelFeedΒ Β Β Β Β Β Peterborough, Victoria, Australia. - TravelFeedΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Twelve Apostles, The Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. - TravelFeed
