Jerrabomberra Mountain Reserve parkrun, New South Wales, Australia.

A house sit popped up on our way home from our South Australia and Victorian road trip. It was actually a small unit, but it was close to some family we wanted to see, and we could pick up another parkrun. Jerrabomberra is right next door to Canberra but is counted as still being in New South Wales. It is funny when you’re in a build-up place and your location just instantly changes, usually there are big open wide spaces and bush between the different states and territories in Australia. In this part of the world, it can be just on the other side of the road. The house sit went fine with just one indoor cat, that apparently did not like men, but I had no problems and before we left it was snuggled up next to me on the couch while I was on the laptop and watching television.

Jerrabomberra parkrun looked a little challenging, especially as the description basically read it was 2.5 kilometres up a mountain before looping around and coming straight back down. Luckily it was not that steep or technical, just a steady incline on a well-maintained gravel fire trail access road. Very runnable, though it did take 18 or 19 minutes for me to get to the top before a much quicker decent giving me an overall time of 30 and a half minutes. I would have been a little quicker if I did not stop for a few photos.

We had a view of Australia’s Capital and parliament building.

I loved that parkrun so much. I still maintain that if we lived anywhere near there, I would definitely make that my home parkrun. It was so good! !INDEED

And you were very good at getting Olly to like you from the get-go. So much for this cat not liking men, hey? !LOL
