Coolum Eco parkrun, Queensland, Australia.
After a busy week of house renovating and garden maintenance we were keen to get away on the weekend and add a new parkrun location to our collection.
Coolum Eco parkrun is only a few months old. My parents used to live in this area years ago but it was when it was only a small coastal town. It was an hour and a half drive north of Brisbane to the middle of the wonderful Sunshine Coast.
First up it was the first timer and run brief.
We will try and get photo in the square after the run.
The course was pretty easy to follow, just keep left.
Most of it was on gravel fire trail.
It was pretty hot and humid in the direct sun.
The far end motorway turn around. It felt like a real bit of Australian bush.
The photo square in front of the a bit of the Coolum Eco wetland environment. Another parkrun done, not my fastest but happy to still be getting them done.
After the parkrun we headed to the famous Coolum beach for a swim and some breakfast. It was such a nice day, the beach was very busy, the surf club carpark was full. We had to park a few streets away but it was worth the walk.
We should have stayed in the caravan park to make it a lot more enjoyable but we needed to get home for family and more work to be done.
We also did a bit of a walk at Point Arkwright.
See you next time.
