Kuta Beach in Badung Regency, Bali, is once again covered with debris carried by the sea. This time, the amount of wood and branches is considered the most severe and extensive. Not only Kuta Beach, but Legian and Seminyak Beaches are also experiencing the same issue.

The marine debris initially appeared in November 2025. This condition has persisted and is expected to continue until March.
As for the cleanup process, large-sized wood debris is handled by the Badung Regency Environmental and Sanitation Agency (DLHK) using heavy equipment. Meanwhile, smaller debris is cleaned up by local residents. To avoid disrupting tourist activities, the cleanup is carried out as quickly as possible.
Most of the debris consists of tree branches and wood carried by ocean currents and washed ashore at Kuta, Seminyak, and Legian Beaches. In addition, other debris was found, such as a student hat labeled "SMP Negeri 2 Srono" and "SD 1 Gondowulan."

This wood is very useful in winter and is of great value in kindling, especially in the village, it is also used for kitchen purposes.

“SMP Negeri 2 Srono” makes sense, if it came from Banyuwangi and drifted through the ocean. But “SD 1 Gondowulan” is in Wonosobo 😄. That one probably did sail across Java. Perhaps someone likely tossed it into a river, and it eventually found its way to the sea. Haha.
So sad to see Kuta beach became dirty though :(
