Very true and agree not always the cheapest is the best and tends to have hidden fees like booking your seat which is often another $50 or more plus luggage. It never used to be this way as the booking of your preferred seat was never extra or even a suit case.

I guess this is great for the agents. I have never been offered one of those hidden fee airlines when I book with an agent, it never even comes up. Their systems must ignore them in their searches. I think they are using rather antiquated tech too because the printouts are always dot-matrix and have a lot of capitol letters.
Possibly as this is only when you book direct online with the airline. Possibly is still cheaper to use an agent and will ask our friend/agent beforehand when we are due to travel.
