Day 2883 | Cinema & Local Festival Fair

Sunday started a bit slow here in Hua Hin as I stayed in bed late since there was no Muay Thai Boxing Class. I went out to a local restaurant to get a healthy breakfast (Yoghurt with fresh Fruit for 160 Baht) and I went to the Market Village Shopping Mall afterward to do some Groceries in Kitchen Paper, 6 organic eggs, & Rice Crackers which in total cost 154 Baht.

As I had nothing to do in the afternoon, I went out to check the Cinema for some mindless entertainment with The Masters Of The Universe Movie. I saw it in Bluport cineplex as market village only had the thai dubbed version. The cinema itself was super modern with a great big screen and good seats. The only thing I didn't prepare for though was how cold the airconditioning was at so it kind of felt like a fridge and I need to bring more clothes next time around.

The movie it self was like the most cliché superhero movie with jokes every minute or so of which 90% weren't funny. I still don't ming going and paying just 220 Baht for a ticket.

Afterwards I headed to Soi 102 where some kind of festival was going on and I was quite overwhelmed with how busy it was. It also was like 99%+ thai people and all the stands had just thai text. There were a lot of food stands, item shops, a tombola, many carnival games and some attractions with a massive crowd and loud music everywhere.

While there, I texted with the new friend I made yesterday as she wasn't aware of it and also wanted to come. I ate a large piece of bbq chicken (which was super delicious) for 70 Baht, a bottle of coconut water for 20 Baht, and 10 small pastel de nata for 50 Baht.

This brought the day with a restaurant breakfast, supermarket shopping, a movie and evening festival dinner, drink, dessert at a total cost of just 674 Baht or not even 18€ which in Belgium you pretty much only have the Cinema Ticket for.

So dispite starting the day with no plans, it still turned out pretty exciting. I do plan to go to the festival carnival faire again this week and take some more pictures bringing a full report on it.

Next Day Goals: It will be back to Muay Thai Boxing on Monday. The bumble activity has really slowed down a lot but I managed to make 1 good friend so far which is something. I might look to try another app this week. I also want to find a place where I can play pool sometimes so maybe I will try to do that tonight.
