I'm glad to hear it was a bit better for you! Airports really are the worst. I kind of feel like after 9/11 everyone felt like they were given a free pass to just be jerks. Like everyone is a potential terrorist or something.

I think that I had set the bar so low that I was going to be pleased with simply not being threatened constantly. I was extremely impressed but also the fact that I didn't really need to hurry at all might have been a factor as well.
That definitely helps. Having to rush from one flight to another connecting flight is a whole different level of stress!

oh and about the post 9/11 stuff absolutely. Homeland didn't really exist before then and once the new recruits were given jobs and authority I believe they were unchecked for a very long time. I really do believe that the World Cup might have sorted some of that out. Lets just hope it can last
