This was one of the many highlights this year when we visited Madeira. I highly recommend taking a private tour where they drop you off in various places and you get a full hour to explore each one, if you wish.
This location is about 1300 meters above sea level and I was literally looking down at clouds and the Atlantic Ocean far below.
The trees there were very special, very old and gnarled by the winds. We had a lucky day as far as weather is concerned because more often than not, dense fog rolls in. I have to admit that, I would love to see that, I bet it would be very atmospheric! Just think of the timelapses one could record!

Woah this is nice. I've never been to Madeira, surprisingly, but I'd really love to go. The scene reminds me of parts of the Jurassic coast of England. It's not this high up though (apparently above the clouds).
There are similarities coast wise, except this one is very sub tropical but I guess parts of our west coast are especially up in Scotland, Cornwall etc.
That's quite a place and higher than almost all the UK. Was the wind as bad as it sounds?
