[ENG/ESP] Saturday of work, sea, and good vibes.
Christmas days tend to feel very different, and I don't just mean the lights, gifts, or family gatherings. It's something deeper, a special energy that fills the air. Most people seem to be enveloped in endless joy, hope, and even generosity. I love that positive energy.
At work, that energy multiplies. It makes me feel very special, especially when I get to go to Sunsol Ecoland. The group of people who make up this hotel have a very pleasant, warm, and super positive dynamic. It's as if we were all connected by the same purpose: to do things well, with joy and commitment. This Saturday I had to go there, and from the day before, just knowing that I had that visit scheduled, I already felt excited. It was as if my body and mind were preparing for a special day.
To make this trip to Sunsol Ecoland, I usually get up very early. The distance is not exactly short, but that doesn't bother me at all. On the contrary, I really enjoy the journey because the landscapes you can see are simply beautiful. Whether I take the Portachuelo route or Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, there is always something beautiful to see. This time, I opted for Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, a road that runs along part of the coastline.
Los días de Navidad suelen sentirse muy diferentes, y no me refiero solo a las luces, los regalos o las reuniones familiares. Es algo más profundo, una energía especial que se respira en el ambiente. La mayoría de las personas parecen estar envueltas en una infinita alegría, esperanza y hasta generosidad. Esa energía positiva que se siente me encanta.
En el trabajo, esa energía se multiplica. Me hace sentir muy especial, sobre todo cuando me toca ir a Sunsol Ecoland. El colectivo humano que conforma este hotel tiene una dinámica muy agradable, cálida y súper positiva. Es como si todos estuviéramos conectados por un mismo propósito; hacer las cosas bien, con alegría y compromiso. Este sábado me tocó ir hasta allá, y desde el día anterior, con solo saber que tenía esa visita programada, ya me sentía animada. Era como si mi cuerpo y mi mente se prepararan para un día especial.
Para hacer este trayecto hacia Sunsol Ecoland, suelo levantarme bien temprano. La distancia a recorrer no es precisamente corta, pero eso no me molesta en lo absoluto. Al contrario, disfruto mucho del camino, porque los paisajes que se pueden apreciar son simplemente hermosos. Ya sea que tome la ruta de Portachuelo o la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, siempre hay algo hermoso que ver. En esta oportunidad, opté por la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, una vía que bordea parte del litoral costero.
It's a route I love, especially when the weather is good, as it was this Saturday. The sky was clear, the sun was shining brightly, and the sea had that mesmerizing deep blue hue, with a few waves but irresistibly beautiful.
Es una ruta que me encanta, especialmente cuando el clima acompaña, como ocurrió este sábado. El cielo estaba despejado, el sol brillaba con fuerza, y el mar tenía ese tono azul profundo que hipnotiza, con un poco de olas pero irresistiblemente hermoso.
While my husband drove, I took in every corner of the landscape: the sea, the hills, the vegetation, and that smell of salt air that I love so much. All of that, combined with the Christmas spirit that was in the air, filled me with immense peace.
Mientras mi esposo conducía, yo iba apreciando cada rincón del paisaje: el mar, los cerros , la vegetación y ese aroma a salitre que tanto me gusta. Todo eso, combinado con la energía navideña que se sentía en el aire, me llenaba de una paz inmensa.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the ever-charismatic Carel from the quality department. Her smile and good disposition are contagious, and it was a pleasure to have her accompany us throughout the day. We began by checking some filters, making sure everything was in order. Then we headed to the main tank, the most important of all, as it feeds the entire facility. There we took the necessary measurements and proceeded to chlorinate the water, following all established protocols.
Al llegar, nos recibió la siempre carismática Carel, del departamento de calidad. Su sonrisa y buena disposición son contagiosas, y fue un gusto que nos acompañara durante el recorrido del día. Comenzamos revisando algunos filtros, asegurándonos de que todo estuviera en orden. Luego, nos dirigimos al tanque principal, el más importante de todos, ya que es el que alimenta toda la instalación. Allí realizamos las mediciones necesarias y procedimos a clorar el agua, siguiendo todos los protocolos establecidos.
Once our work was done, we took a moment to admire the scenery. Since we had been driving along the road, we had noticed that the sea was quite rough, with a strong current and high waves. Although it was an impressive sight, we knew it was not a good sign for fishermen or for the most daring swimmers who tend to venture far from the shore.
Una vez finalizado nuestro trabajo, nos tomamos un momento para contemplar el paisaje. Desde que veníamos por la vía, habíamos notado que el mar estaba bastante agitado, con una corriente fuerte y olas altas. Aunque era un espectáculo visual impresionante, sabíamos que no era una buena señal para los pescadores ni para los bañistas más atrevidos que suelen alejarse de la orilla.
After climbing down from the tank, we left with the satisfaction of having done our job. That feeling of accomplishment makes me feel very satisfied, especially when combined with the beauty of the surroundings and the warmth of the people. We left ready to enjoy a well-deserved rest.
That's how our Saturday of work ended. I wanted to share this experience with you because doing what I love, surrounded by wonderful people and in such beautiful places, is not something to be overlooked.

Después de bajar del tanque, nos marchamos con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con nuestro trabajo. Esa sensación de deber cumplido me hace sentirme muy satisfecha, y más aún cuando se combina con la belleza del entorno y la calidez de las personas. Nos fuimos listos para disfrutar de un merecido descanso.
Así concluyó nuestro sábado de trabajo. Quise compartir esta experiencia con ustedes porque, hacer lo que me gusta, rodeada de gente maravillosa y en lugares tan hermosos no es algo que se deba pasar por alto.
