[ENG/ESP] An unexpected day at Sunsol Ecoland
Hello, happy Saturday everyone. Today I am reconnecting with that restorative rest that does us so much good during the weekend.
This past Friday began unexpectedly. Very early in the morning, I received a call at 5:30 a.m. requesting my services to chlorinate the main tank at the Sunsol Ecoland hotel. They told me that they have had quite a few visitors these days, and of course, keeping the water in optimal condition is an absolute priority. Without thinking twice, and with the commitment that always characterizes me, I got ready with my husband and we set off for the municipality of Gómez, where the hotel is located.
Leaving home these days is no easy task. The island is full of tourists, which is wonderful for the local economy, but it also poses a real challenge for those of us who have to travel on its roads. We live in an area close to many beaches, which means that traffic is often quite heavy, especially in high season. Vehicles come and go at high speed, and sometimes drivers do not respect traffic signs, which adds a little stress to the journey.

Este viernes que culminó, comenzó de forma inesperada. Muy temprano en la mañana, recibí una llamada a las 5:30 am solicitando mis servicios para realizar el clorado del tanque principal del hotel Sunsol Ecoland. Me comentaron que han tenido bastante afluencia de visitantes en estos días, y por supuesto, mantener el agua en condiciones óptimas es una prioridad absoluta. Sin pensarlo dos veces, y con el compromiso que siempre me caracteriza, me alisté junto a mi esposo y emprendimos camino hacia el municipio Gómez, donde se encuentra el hotel.
Salir de casa en estos días no es tarea sencilla. La isla está repleta de turistas, lo cual es maravilloso para la economía local, pero también representa un verdadero reto para quienes debemos desplazarnos por sus calles. Vivimos en una zona cercana a muchas playas, y eso significa que el tráfico suele ser bastante denso, especialmente en temporada alta. Los vehículos van y vienen a toda velocidad, y en ocasiones, algunos conductores no respetan las señales de tránsito, lo que añade un poco de estrés al trayecto.
Fortunately, the weather was on our side. The sun was shining brightly, as is usual on the island, but the temperature was quite pleasant, without being stifling. Even so, it never hurts to remember the importance of wearing sunscreen. Here, the sun is unforgiving, and although it sometimes feels milder, its rays are still intense. It's part of the charm and also something we need to be careful about.
Afortunadamente, el clima estaba de nuestro lado. El sol brillaba con fuerza, como es habitual en la isla, pero la temperatura era bastante agradable, sin llegar a ser sofocante. Aun así, nunca está de más recordar la importancia de usar protector solar. Aquí, el sol no perdona, y aunque a veces se sienta más suave, sus rayos siguen siendo intensos. Es parte del encanto y también del cuidado que debemos tener.
Along the way, as always, I really enjoy the scenery along Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue. It's a route that never ceases to amaze me. The combination of green, rocky hills rising up near the sea creates a kind of natural postcard that gives me a great sense of peace. I love capturing those moments with my camera, so I can share them with you and convey a little of the beauty that surrounds us.
Durante el camino, como siempre, disfruto mucho los paisajes que ofrece la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez. Es una ruta que nunca deja de sorprenderme. La combinación de cerros verdes y rocosos que se alzan cerca del mar crea una especie de postal natural que me da mucha paz. Me encanta capturar esos momentos con mi cámara, para luego compartirlos con ustedes y transmitir un poco de la belleza que nos rodea.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with the usual warmth, which is why he never hesitated to answer their call. That hospitality that characterizes the people here so much.
Al llegar al hotel, nos recibieron con la calidez de siempre, por eso jamás dudó ante su llamado. Esa hospitalidad que tanto caracteriza a la gente de aquí.
Before climbing down, I couldn't resist taking a few photographs. From the top of the tank, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Zaragoza Beach, which looked especially radiant under the sun.
Nos dirigimos al área del tanque principal, donde realizamos primero una revisión de los parámetros digitales, asegurándonos de que todo estuviera en orden. Luego, procedimos con la comprobación manual, y una vez que verificamos que los niveles eran los adecuados, dimos por concluido el trabajo.
Before climbing down, I couldn't resist taking a few photographs. From the top of the tank, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Zaragoza Beach, which looked especially radiant under the sun.

In the distance, the Hesperia Margarita hotel stood tall with its imposing architecture, standing out against the landscape like an elegant giant facing the sea.

The views of the hills and the deep blue sea are so beautiful and worth admiring.

We climbed down from the tank with the satisfaction of a job well done, knowing that we had responded promptly and responsibly to an important request. We deeply value the trust they place in us.
We returned home with happy hearts. It was an unexpected day, but one full of meaning. I wanted to share this little snippet of my Friday with you, because sometimes the most special moments are hidden in everyday life.
