[ENG/ESP] A Thursday spent among landscapes and potential contracts.

Today I want to share with you how my workday went, a day that, in addition to fulfilling our responsibilities, was filled with new goals and little joys that make it all worthwhile.
My day started off great, with weather that couldn’t have been better. That mix of a gentle breeze and clear skies that makes you want to head out in high spirits. My husband and I left early, feeling very motivated, because we had to carry out our work routines at the Sunsol Unik hotel and then deliver a new quote in Pampatar, something we were especially excited about.
The drive to the hotel was a treat in itself. This island always knows how to surprise us with its landscapes, as if every day it wanted to show us a different version of its beauty. Between the mountains, the sea, and that ever-present greenery, the journey felt shorter and more pleasant.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes cómo transcurrió mi día de trabajo, un día que, además de cumplir con nuestras responsabilidades, vino cargado de nuevos propósitos y pequeñas alegrías que hacen que todo valga la pena.
El día comenzó para mí de una manera genial, con un clima que no podía estar mejor. Esa mezcla de brisa suave y cielo despejado que invita a salir con buen ánimo. Mi esposo y yo salimos temprano, muy motivados, porque teníamos que realizar nuestras rutinas de trabajo en el hotel Sunsol Unik y luego entregar un nuevo presupuesto en Pampatar, algo que nos tenía especialmente entusiasmados.
El camino hacia el hotel fue un regalo en sí mismo. Esta isla siempre sabe cómo sorprendernos con sus paisajes, como si cada día quisiera mostrarnos una versión distinta de su belleza. Entre montañas, mar y ese verde que nunca falta, el trayecto se hizo más corto y agradable.
When we arrived at the hotel, the maintenance staff greeted us as usual: with kindness, respect, and that sense of familiarity that develops over time.
We carried out our routine disinfection and chlorination of the main tank. While we waited for the readings to reach the ideal levels, we chatted about our plans and how well the day had started.
Those little moments of pause, even if they’re part of the job, have their own charm.
Al llegar al hotel, el personal de mantenimiento nos recibió como de costumbre; con amabilidad, respeto y esa familiaridad que se construye con el tiempo.
Realizamos nuestra rutina de desinfección y cloración del tanque principal. Mientras esperábamos que los valores se ajustaran a los parámetros ideales, conversábamos sobre nuestros planes, sobre lo bien que había comenzado el día.
Esos pequeños momentos de pausa, aunque sean laborales, también tienen su encanto.
But what really had us excited was the presentation of the new budget at the Punta Ballena bakery and pastry shop, located on José María Vargas Street in Pampatar, in the Maneiro municipality of Nueva Esparta state. I’ll admit that if this contract goes through, I’d be very happy. Pampatar is a beautiful area, full of life, history, and scenery that you can’t help but fall in love with. Every time I have to visit, I enjoy it immensely, and if it also becomes a weekly work trip, it would be a blessing. Imagine working near such beautiful beaches, and so close by.
Pero lo que realmente nos tenía emocionados era la entrega del nuevo presupuesto en la panadería y pastelería Punta Ballena, ubicada en la calle José María Vargas, en Pampatar, municipio Maneiro del estado Nueva Esparta. Les confieso que si este contrato se concreta, me pondría muy contenta. Pampatar es un sector hermoso, lleno de vida, historia y paisajes que enamoran. Cada vez que tengo que visitarlo lo disfruto muchísimo, y si además se convierte en una visita semanal por trabajo, sería una bendición. Imaginen trabajar cerca de playas hermosas y tan cerquitas.
The drive to Pampatar was a delight. Its urban and natural landscapes seemed to speak, telling stories and revealing details that often go unnoticed when you’re in a hurry. But today wasn’t a day for rushing; it was a day of purpose. We arrived at the Punta Ballena bakery, met with the manager, and handed over our budget proposal. Everything went smoothly, and we left with a sense of satisfaction and hope.
As we left, I couldn’t resist the temptation to take a brief drive before heading back home. I deeply love the blue of the sea—that blue that changes with the light, sometimes intense and other times soft, but always beautiful. I also enjoy the urban landscapes of this area, which blend modernity with tradition, movement with calm.
El recorrido hacia Pampatar fue una delicia. Sus paisajes urbanos y naturales parecían hablar, contar historias, mostrar detalles que a veces pasan desapercibidos cuando uno va con prisa. Pero hoy no era un día de prisa, sino de propósito. Llegamos a la panadería Punta Ballena, nos reunimos con el encargado y entregamos nuestra propuesta de presupuesto. Todo fluyó con armonía, y salimos con una sensación de satisfacción y esperanza.
Al salir, no pude resistir la tentación de dar un breve recorrido antes de tomar el camino de vuelta a casa. Amo profundamente el azul del mar, ese azul que cambia con la luz, que a veces es intenso y otras veces suave, pero siempre hermoso. También disfruto los paisajes urbanos de esta zona, que combinan modernidad con tradición, movimiento con calma.
So, dear friends, that’s how simple yet inspiring our day was. A day of work, yes, but also a day of gratitude, of goals, of inspiring landscapes, and of dreams that are slowly taking shape.
