The weekend is here, and with it comes that well-deserved rest we long for during the week. It's the perfect time to slow down, breathe, and let ourselves be carried away by the calm that the weekend brings. Sometimes it's not about making big plans, but simply enjoying the present with more ease and less pressure.
As I've mentioned before, very cloudy days are not usually my favorite, mainly because they affect my allergies. But on these cloudy days, the air feels cleaner and much lighter, and I do like that feeling. However, I must admit that cloudy skies have a very special charm. There is something about those whimsical clouds, their changing shapes and the gray and blue tones that paint the sky, that invites me to stop, observe, and, of course, capture the moment with my lens.
This past Thursday was one of those days when the sky looked like a work of art in constant transformation. I didn't hesitate to take photos wherever I went. Every corner had its own magic, every cloud seemed to tell a different story in silence. I felt inspired, connected to my surroundings, and eager to share that beauty with you.

Ya llegó el fin de semana, y con él, ese merecido descanso que tanto anhelamos durante la semana. Es el momento perfecto para bajar el ritmo, respirar y dejarnos llevar por la calma que trae consigo el fin de semana. A veces no se trata de hacer grandes planes, sino simplemente de disfrutar el presente con más suavidad ni presiones.
Como les he comentado en otras ocasiones, los días muy nublados no suelen ser mis favoritos, sobre todo porque afectan a mis alergias. Pero en estos días nublados se siente el aire más limpio y mucho más ligero, esa sensación sí me agrada. Sin embargo debo reconocer que los cielos nublados tienen un encanto muy especial. Hay algo en esas nubes caprichosas, en sus formas cambiantes y en los tonos grises y azulados que pintan el cielo, que me invita a detenerme, observar y, por supuesto, capturar el momento con mi lente.
Este jueves que recién culminó fue uno de esos días en los que el cielo parecía una obra de arte en constante transformación. No escatimé en tomar fotos por donde pasaba. Cada rincón tenía su propia magia, cada nube parecía contar una historia distinta en silencio. Me sentí inspirada, conectada con el entorno, y con muchas ganas de compartir esa belleza con ustedes.
It was a day of particles, as I like to call them, because it was full of little moments that, when put together, made for a special day. I had my work routine scheduled at the Unik hotel, but this time, at the request of management, the appointment would be at 2:30 p.m. That change in schedule allowed me to start the day more calmly, do some chores at home without rushing, and enjoy a leisurely lunch.
At 2:00 p.m. sharp, my husband picked me up. Although the trip from home to the hotel takes no more than ten minutes, leaving early gives us the opportunity to enjoy the ride. We love to look at the scenery, chat a little, and, if the weather permits, stop to take some pictures. And believe me, the ride was incredibly beautiful. The clouds, the trees, the soft afternoon light... everything seemed to be in perfect harmony.
Fue un día de partículas, como suelo llamarlos, porque estuvo lleno de pequeños momentos que, al unirse, forman una jornada especial. Tenía programada mi rutina de trabajo en el hotel Unik, pero esta vez, a petición de la gerencia, la cita sería a las 2:30 p.m. Ese cambio en el horario me permitió comenzar el día con más calma, hacer algunas tareas en casa sin apuros, y disfrutar de un almuerzo tranquilo.
A las 2:00 p.m. en punto, mi esposo pasó a buscarme. Aunque el trayecto desde casa hasta el hotel no toma más de diez minutos, salir con tiempo nos da la oportunidad de disfrutar del camino. Nos encanta observar el paisaje, conversar un poco y, si el cielo lo permite, detenernos a tomar algunas fotografías. Y créanme, el trayecto fue increíblemente hermoso. Las nubes, los árboles, la luz suave de la tarde… todo parecía estar en perfecta armonía.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the quality department team. As always, we checked all the necessary levels and parameters. Everything went well, the values were within expectations, which allowed us to continue with peace of mind.
Al llegar al hotel, fuimos recibidos con mucha amabilidad por el equipo del departamento de calidad. Como siempre, realizamos el chequeo de todos los niveles y parámetros necesarios. Todo salió bien, los valores estaban dentro de lo esperado, lo que nos permitió continuar con tranquilidad.
At the end of the day, we headed to the Sambil shopping center. Although we weren't going to stroll around or shop, we had a mission: to pick up some packages at the Zoom office. Our son, who often shops online, had asked us for this favor. He always says that this way he finds better prices and products that are not easily available on the island, and he's right. His choices are usually good and, moreover, economical.
Terminada la jornada, emprendimos camino hacia el centro comercial Sambil. Aunque no íbamos a pasear ni de compras, teníamos una misión; retirar unos envíos en la oficina de Zoom. Nuestro hijo, que suele hacer compras por internet, nos había pedido el favor. Él siempre dice que así encuentra mejores precios y productos que no se consiguen fácilmente en la Isla, y la verdad es que tiene razón. Sus elecciones suelen ser acertadas y, además, económicas.
The scenery on the way back was still enchanting. The clouds gave everything we saw an original, almost cinematic touch. When we got home, our son was eager to see his packages. It was nice to see his excitement, that look of satisfaction at a successful purchase.
El paisaje durante el trayecto de regreso seguía siendo encantador. Las nubes le daban un toque original y casi cinematográfico a todo lo que veíamos. Al llegar a casa, nuestro hijo estaba ansioso por ver sus paquetes. Fue bonito ver su emoción, esa cara de satisfacción por una compra acertada.
Dear friends, the truth is that today was simple, without any major events, but full of beauty. A cloudy day, yes, but undeniably beautiful. That's why I tried to capture every moment with my lens, so I could share it with you and convey a little bit of that calm and magic.

Queridos amigos, la verdad es que el día de hoy fue sencillo, sin grandes eventos, pero lleno de belleza. Un día nublado, sí, pero irremediablemente hermoso. Por eso traté de capturar cada instante con mi lente, para poder compartirlo con ustedes y transmitirles un poquito de esa calma y esa magia.
