[ENG/ESP] A Sunday filled with landscapes and the scent of the sea
Greetings, dear #dailyblog community. As I do every day, I stop by here with much affection to share a little bit of our family life with you. I want to tell you about our Sunday, a simple day but one full of moments that bring us joy and happiness.
Yesterday was one of those quiet Sundays that are so welcome after a busy week at work. We stayed home in the morning, taking advantage of the time to do some pending chores, but we also had time to rest, simply enjoy our home, the silence, and family time.
The sky was slightly cloudy at dawn, which made us decide that our son should not go out on his motorcycle as he usually does. Instead, my husband drove him to meet his friends to play soccer. Although the day started out gray, as the hours passed, the weather improved and the sun peeked through the clouds, giving us a warm and bright afternoon.
In the afternoon, we went to pick up our son. The drive was very pleasant, with clear skies making the air cooler. As a nature lover, I couldn't resist capturing some images of the landscapes around us. These little details fill me with peace and inspire me to share them with you.
Saludos querida comunidad de #dailyblog. Como cada día, paso por aquí con mucho cariño para compartirles un pedacito de nuestra vida en familia. Quiero contarles cómo fue nuestro domingo, un día sencillo pero lleno de momentos que nos alegran y agradan.
Ayer fue uno de esos domingos tranquilos que tanto se agradecen después de una semana intensa de trabajo. Nos quedamos en casa durante la mañana, aprovechando para hacer algunos deberes pendientes, pero también nos dió tiempo para descansar, simplemente disfrutar del hogar, del silencio, del tiempo en familia.
El cielo amaneció ligeramente nublado, lo que nos hizo decidir que nuestro hijo no saliera en la moto como suele hacerlo. En su lugar, mi esposo lo llevó en el carro hasta donde se reuniría con sus amigos para jugar fútbol. Aunque el día comenzó gris, con el paso de las horas el clima fue mejorando y el sol se dejó ver entre las nubes, regalándonos una tarde cálida y luminosa.
En la tarde, salimos a buscar a nuestro hijo. El trayecto fue muy ameno, con el cielo despejado lo que hacía el aire más fresco. Como amante de la naturaleza, no pude resistirme a capturar algunas imágenes de los paisajes que nos rodeaban. Esos pequeños detalles me llenan de paz y me inspiran a compartirlos con ustedes.
When we picked up our son, he greeted us with his usual energy, laughing as he told us stories about the game, the goals, the funny falls, and the special moments with his friends. His joy is contagious, and within minutes we were all laughing in the car, enjoying his spark and good humor.
Since the three of us were together and it was still early, we decided to drive around town to see if we could find a nice place to eat. For me, that would be a real treat, as it meant I wouldn't have to cook that day. However, after checking out several options, none of them really appealed to us. We agreed that if we were going to eat out, it had to be somewhere that really appealed to us, and that day, we just couldn't find it.
Al llegar por nuestro hijo, nos recibió con su energía habitual, contándonos entre risas las anécdotas del partido, los goles, las caídas graciosas y los momentos especiales con sus amigos. Su alegría es contagiosa, y en cuestión de minutos ya todos íbamos riendo en el carro, disfrutando de su chispa y buen humor.
Como estábamos los tres juntos y aún era temprano, decidimos dar unas vueltas por la ciudad para ver si encontrábamos algún lugar agradable donde comer. Para mí, eso sería un verdadero regalo, ya que significaba no tener que entrar a la cocina ese día. Sin embargo, después de recorrer varias opciones, ninguna nos convenció del todo. Coincidimos en que si íbamos a comer fuera, debía ser en un sitio que realmente nos provocara, y ese día, simplemente no lo encontramos.
So we decided to return home, but not before taking a different route, one that would take us along the coast. We entered through Guacuco, skirting the coastline, and it was a wonderful decision. The scent of the sea enveloped us, and I love that smell.
Así que optamos por regresar a casa, pero no sin antes tomar un camino diferente, uno que nos llevará por la costa. Entramos por Guacuco, bordeando el litoral, y fue una decisión maravillosa. El aroma del mar nos envolvía, ese olor lo amo.
The sky gave us a spectacular view. In the distance, we could clearly see Los Frailes Island, illuminated by the last rays of the sun. We stopped for a few minutes to contemplate it, in silence, as if we wanted to keep that image in our memory forever.
El cielo nos regalaba una vista espectacular. A lo lejos, pudimos ver claramente la Isla de Los Frailes, iluminada por los últimos rayos del sol. Nos detuvimos unos minutos para contemplarla, en silencio, como si quisiéramos guardar esa imagen en la memoria para siempre.
With our hearts filled with calm, we headed back home. That's how we ended our weekend, with a priceless feeling of fulfillment and family connection. Once home, we got ready to welcome a new week with renewed energy.
