A day always starts better when it begins with a warm greeting, so today I want to wish you all a lovely Sunday—one of those days that arrives calmly, with soft light and the feeling that time is moving just a little slower. After a busy week, this day feels like a much-needed breather.
Yesterday, Saturday, I decided to rest a bit. Even so, I got up early because I wanted to take advantage of the morning with a clear, fresh mind to work on a pending report about our work at one of the chain’s hotels. I like to do that kind of work when the house is still quiet and the day is just beginning to wake up.
While I was focused on the report, my son and my husband took care of tending to the birds. Two of the chicks that hatched a month ago can’t be together because they fight, so they took care of separating them and getting everything in order. Those little family routines, though simple, are also part of who we are and how we work together.
Around 11:30 in the morning, Luis, one of the company’s employees, called us. His voice sounded calm, but he immediately explained that the motorcycle had broken down. He couldn’t fix it because the damaged part needed to be replaced. Luckily, he always drives slowly and carefully, so nothing serious happened. The first thing he told me, even before mentioning the breakdown, was that he had already delivered the information he was carrying. That is one of his strengths; he is very reliable, responsible, and committed. And that, precisely, is something that unites us and sets us apart as a family-owned company.
We got ready and went out to ask where they sold motorcycle chains. The weather was glorious, with a strong sun that made the heat feel almost suffocating, but even so, the scenery was beautiful. Margarita has that magic; even on the hottest days, there’s always a spot that offers you beauty.
Un día siempre comienza mejor cuando se abre con un buen saludo, así que hoy quiero desearles un lindo domingo, de esos que llegan con calma, con luz suave y con la sensación de que el tiempo se mueve un poquito más despacio. Después de una semana intensa, este día se siente como un respiro necesario.
Ayer sábado decidí descansar un poco. Aun así, me levanté temprano porque quería aprovechar la mañana con la mente clara y fresca para hacer un informe pendiente sobre nuestro trabajo en uno de los hoteles de la cadena. Me gusta hacer ese tipo de tareas cuando la casa todavía está en silencio y el día apenas empieza a despertar.
Mientras yo me concentraba en el informe, mi hijo y mi esposo se encargaron de acomodar las aves. Dos de los pequeños que nacieron hace un mes no pueden estar juntos porque se pelean, así que ellos se ocuparon de separarlos y dejar todo en orden. Esas pequeñas rutinas familiares, aunque sencillas, también forman parte de lo que somos y de cómo trabajamos juntos.
Cerca de las 11:30 de la mañana nos llamó Luis, el muchacho que forma parte de la compañía. Su voz sonaba tranquila, pero enseguida nos explicó que la moto había presentado una falla. No podía darle solución porque la pieza dañada requería reemplazo. Por suerte, él siempre maneja despacio y con cuidado, así que no pasó a mayores. Lo primero que me dijo, incluso antes de mencionar la avería, fue que ya había cumplido con la entrega de la información que llevaba. Esa es una de sus virtudes; es muy cumplidor, responsable y comprometido. Y eso, precisamente, es algo que nos une y nos distingue como compañía familiar.
Nos alistamos y salimos a preguntar dónde vendían la cadena de la moto. El clima estaba radiante, con un sol fuerte que hacía que el calor se sintiera casi sofocante, pero aun así los paisajes estaban hermosos. Margarita tiene esa magia; incluso en los días más calurosos, siempre hay un rincón que te regala belleza.
We went to several places around town looking for the part. At one of the parts shops, a man who was a motorcycle mechanic told us that if we were going to replace the chain, it would be best and safest to replace the chainring and sprocket as well. What he said made sense, so we kept looking for a complete kit.
Recorrimos varios lugares de la ciudad buscando la pieza. En una de las ventas de repuestos, un señor que era mecánico de motos nos dijo que si íbamos a cambiar la cadena, lo mejor y más seguro era cambiar también el plato y el piñón. Tenía sentido lo que decía, así que seguimos buscando un kit completo.
After visiting several places, we finally found a shop that sold the motorcycle kit at a reasonable price. My husband said they were good parts; I didn’t have much to say about it because I don’t know anything about that stuff, but I was glad we were able to get what we needed. I felt relieved, as if one less worry had been lifted from our shoulders.
Después de visitar varios puntos, finalmente encontramos una venta donde tenían el kit de la moto a un precio razonable. Mi esposo dijo que eran repuestos buenos; yo no opiné mucho porque de esa materia no sé nada, pero me dio satisfacción conseguir lo que necesitábamos. Sentí alivio, como si una preocupación menos se hubiera despejado del camino.
We stopped by Luis’s house right away to drop off the kit. He knows how to install it and was really happy to receive it. He told me that this way he could make the motorcycle look brand new and ride more safely. Seeing how happy he was put our minds at ease, too.
Pasamos enseguida por la casa de Luis para dejarle el kit. Él sabe colocarlo y se puso muy contento al recibirlo. Me dijo que así podría dejar la moto como nueva y andar más seguro. Ver su alegría también nos dio tranquilidad.
With our minds feeling lighter, we headed home to continue our day off. Sometimes, even on our days off, life throws little tasks our way, but the important thing is to take care of them and return home feeling at peace.

Happy Sunday to you my friend. Well no matter how careful a motorcycle drives is, time comes that the parts of motorcycle need replacement. I have a honda beat scooter motorcycle and I do find it not so easy when it comes to changing parts. Especially when there is no available original part.
