Happy week, everyone! There are only fifteen days left to celebrate another year of life, learning, goals achieved, and new dreams to fulfill. It's inevitable to feel a mix of emotions as that special date approaches, when you reflect on what you've experienced and fill yourself with hope for what's to come. However, despite the excitement, my work doesn't stop. Responsibilities continue, and I gladly continue to carry out my daily routines. Even if the days are humid, unpredictable, or even a little crazy, there are no excuses; commitment and consistency are an essential part of my day.
On this occasion, I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Sunsol Ecoland hotel to perform a fundamental task: chlorinating the main tank. This is a task we carry out once or twice a week, depending on the operation of the desalination plant, which is responsible for supplying the water. In addition, the frequency also varies according to the hotel's accommodation capacity, as everything is connected like a perfectly synchronized gear. The chlorination and debacterization of the water must be impeccable to guarantee the quality and safety of the service.
The trip to the hotel was, as always, a delightful experience. After the rain, everything seemed more alive, more vibrant. That is the magic that rain leaves in Margarita; a special glow that beautifies every corner. Although it looked like it was still raining in the distance at our destination, that did not prevent us from enjoying the journey.
¡Feliz semana para todos! Ya faltan solo quince días para celebrar un año más de vida, de aprendizajes, de metas alcanzadas y de nuevos sueños por cumplir. Es inevitable sentir una mezcla de emociones al acercarse esa fecha tan especial, donde uno reflexiona sobre lo vivido y se llena de esperanza por lo que está por venir. Sin embargo, a pesar de la emoción, mi trabajo no se detiene. Las responsabilidades siguen su curso, y yo, con gusto, continúo cumpliendo con mis rutinas diarias. Aunque los días estén húmedos, impredecibles o incluso un poco alocados, no hay excusas, el compromiso y la constancia son parte esencial de mi dia.
En esta ocasión, me tocó visitar el hermoso hotel Sunsol Ecoland para realizar una tarea fundamental; la cloración del tanque principal. Esta es una labor que llevamos a cabo una o dos veces por semana, dependiendo del funcionamiento de la planta desalinizadora, que es la encargada de surtir el agua. Además, la frecuencia también varía según la capacidad de hospedaje del hotel, ya que todo está conectado como un engranaje perfectamente sincronizado. La cloración y desbacterización del agua deben quedar impecables para garantizar la calidad y seguridad del servicio.
El recorrido hasta el hotel fue, como siempre, una experiencia encantadora. Después de la lluvia, todo parecía más vivo, más brillante. Esa es la magia que deja la lluvia en Margarita; un resplandor especial que embellece cada rincón. Aunque a lo lejos parecía que en nuestro destino aún llovía, eso no impidió que disfrutáramos del trayecto.
The Portachuelo road treated us to dreamlike landscapes, with hills covered in intense and varied shades of green, as if nature had painted them with infinite hues. It is impossible not to stop and admire such beauty.
La vía de Portachuelo nos regaló paisajes de ensueño, con cerros cubiertos de verdes intensos y variados, como si la naturaleza hubiese pintado con infinita tonalidades. Es imposible no detenerse a admirar tanta belleza.
Upon arriving at Sunsol Ecoland, we were greeted by the island's capricious weather, with clouds coming and going, playing with the sunlight. These are typical occurrences in this region, where the weather can change in a matter of minutes.
Al llegar a Sunsol Ecoland, nos recibió el clima caprichoso de la isla, con nubes que iban y venían, jugando con la luz del sol. Son cosas típicas de esta región, donde el clima puede cambiar en cuestión de minutos.
As usual, the ever-friendly Carel from the quality department was waiting for us and accompanied us to the main tank to carry out the chlorination process. Together, we checked and measured all the necessary parameters, making sure that every detail was in order. It is meticulous work, but rewarding, because we know that we are contributing to the well-being of all our guests.
Como es costumbre, nos esperaba la siempre amable Carel, del departamento de calidad, quien nos acompañó hasta el tanque principal para realizar el proceso de cloración. Juntos revisamos y medimos todos los parámetros necesarios, asegurándonos de que cada detalle estuviera en orden. Es un trabajo meticuloso, pero gratificante, porque sabemos que estamos contribuyendo al bienestar de todos los huéspedes.
Once the task was completed and with the satisfaction of having successfully accomplished it, we began our return journey. We opted once again for the Portachuelo route, as during the rainy season the coastal road can be prone to rockfalls, and we always prefer to prioritize safety. The return trip was peaceful, accompanied by the vibrant greenery that surrounded us. We let ourselves be carried away by the natural charm, by that peace that only a connection with nature can provide.
Una vez finalizada la tarea y con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con éxito, emprendimos el regreso. Optamos nuevamente por la vía de Portachuelo, ya que en temporada de lluvias la carretera del litoral puede presentar desprendimientos de rocas, y preferimos siempre priorizar la seguridad. El camino de vuelta fue tranquilo, acompañados por el verde vibrante que nos rodeaba. Nos dejamos llevar por el encanto natural, por esa paz que solo la conexión con la naturaleza puede brindar.
I hope you enjoyed my day as much as I enjoyed living it. Being able to work in such a special environment, where every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and marvel at the simple and grand things in life, is something I consider a gift from life itself.
