[ENG/ESP] A Monday at work surrounded by beautiful scenery and good vibes
Greetings, I wish you a wonderful day. I am sure mine will be, because every day I try to wake up with a smile and think positively. That small decision, which seems so simple, completely changes my mood and makes everything flow more easily. It is as if by choosing to see the good, the good also chooses me.
Yesterday, Monday, was a peculiar day. From early morning, the rain began to fall heavily. The sound of the rain woke me up earlier than usual. I had to go to work, and although the weather was not the most favorable, I had given my word, and for me that is law. Keeping my promises gives me peace, meaning, and respect.
I made myself a hot cup of coffee, the kind that comforts me so much, and sat on the porch watching the rain. As I did so, a thought struck me: how selfish I am sometimes, thinking only of my own discomfort, when that rain was so necessary for the plants, for the thirsty earth. If I hadn't had to go out, I would have enjoyed it even more. But as if nature had heard my thoughts, the rain stopped and the sun began to shine with a strength and brightness rarely seen. It was as if the sky was giving me a knowing wink.
My husband and I left the house, while our son stayed behind to wait for a friend. The road was beautiful. The landscapes, freshly bathed by the rain, looked more vivid, more intense. Here in Margarita, when the sun comes out, it does so in all its splendor, and in a matter of minutes, everything that was wet dries up. It's a spectacle that never ceases to amaze me.
Saludos, les deseo un día maravilloso. Estoy segura de que el mío lo será, porque cada día trato de despertar con una sonrisa y poner mis pensamientos en positivo. Esa pequeña decisión, que parece tan simple, me cambia el ánimo por completo y hace que todo fluya con más facilidad. Es como si al elegir ver lo bueno, lo bueno también me eligiera a mí.
Ayer lunes fue un día peculiar. Desde la madrugada, la lluvia comenzó a caer con fuerza. El sonido de la lluvia me despertó antes de lo habitual. Tenía que ir a trabajar, y aunque el clima no era el más favorable, había dado mi palabra, y para mí eso es ley. Cumplir con lo que prometo me da paz y sentido y respeto.
Preparé un café caliente, ese que tanto me reconforta, y me senté en el portal a observar la lluvia. Mientras lo hacía, me invadió una reflexión, qué egoísta soy a veces, pensando solo en mi incomodidad, cuando esa lluvia era tan necesaria para las plantas, para la tierra sedienta. Si no hubiera tenido que salir, la habría disfrutado aún más. Pero como si la naturaleza hubiera escuchado mis pensamientos, la lluvia cesó y el sol comenzó a asomarse con una fuerza y un brillo que pocas veces se ven. Era como si el cielo me regalara un guiño de complicidad.
Salimos de casa mi esposo y yo, mientras nuestro hijo se quedó esperando a una amiga. El camino estaba precioso. Los paisajes, recién bañados por la lluvia, lucían colores más vivos, más intensos. Aquí en Margarita, cuando el sol sale, lo hace con todo su esplendor, y en cuestión de minutos, todo lo mojado se seca. Es un espectáculo que nunca deja de maravillarme.
Our destination was the Ecoland hotel, where we had to chlorinate the main tank. We took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, not only because it was the most direct route, but also because it is the most beautiful. Its landscapes invite you to stop, contemplate, take a deep breath, and give thanks.
Nuestro destino era el hotel Ecoland, donde debíamos realizar la cloración del tanque principal. Tomamos la ruta de la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, no solo por ser la más directa, sino porque es también la más hermosa. Sus paisajes invitan a detenerse, a contemplar, a respirar profundo y agradecer.
Upon arrival, we began our chlorination and disinfection routine. When checking the tank capacity and measuring the values, we noticed that the TDS levels were very high. That forced us to shut down the desalination plant until the parameters returned to normal. It was a longer process than usual, but we knew it was necessary to do it right. Water quality is essential, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Al llegar, comenzamos nuestra rutina de clorado y desinfección. Al revisar la capacidad del tanque y medir los valores, notamos que los niveles de TDS estaban muy altos. Eso nos obligó a detener la planta desalinizadora hasta que los parámetros volvieran a la normalidad. Fue un proceso más largo de lo habitual, pero sabíamos que era necesario hacerlo bien. La calidad del agua es fundamental, y nos tomamos muy en serio esa responsabilidad.
The sun was still shining brightly. Luckily, I had brought my cap, which protected me a little while we worked. Although I ended up quite exhausted, I didn't lose heart. I always find a moment to capture the beauty around me, so I took the opportunity to take some photos from the top of the tank. The view was simply spectacular.
El sol seguía brillando con fuerza. Por suerte, había llevado mi gorra, que me protegió un poco mientras trabajábamos. Aunque terminé bastante agotada, no perdí el ánimo. Siempre encuentro un momento para capturar la belleza que me rodea, así que aproveché para tomar algunas fotos desde la altura del tanque. La vista era simplemente espectacular.
Satisfied with the work we had done, we decided to stop by Juangriego, which was closer to home. We sat facing the sea to eat something simple but delicious. That moment, with the breeze coming from the sea and the sound of the waves, was the perfect end to an intense day. It helped us relax, let go of our tiredness, and reconnect with calmness.
Satisfechos con el trabajo realizado, decidimos pasar por Juangriego, que nos quedaba más cerca de casa. Nos sentamos frente al mar a comer algo sencillo, pero delicioso. Ese momento, con la brisa que viene del mar y el sonido de las olas de, fue el cierre perfecto para un día intenso. Nos ayudó a relajarnos, a soltar el cansancio y a reconectar con la calma.
Now that we're home, we feel calm. It was a long day, yes, but also full of learning experiences, beautiful scenery, a job well done, and shared moments. Nothing we couldn't handle with a good attitude and teamwork.
