Daily Blog - The end of our Entre Ríos getaway and the journey home, but not before enjoying a few farewell drinks. / Fin del paseo en Entre Ríos y vuelta a casa, no sin antes pasar por unos tragos de despedida. 😃❤️

When the last day of our trip to Entre Ríos arrived, my friends and I were more than happy with everything we had been able to do. It had been three incredible days during which we made time not only to explore and sightsee, but also to relax. Most importantly, we were able to disconnect from our daily routines and recharge our batteries before facing another week of work. And we kept making the most of our getaway right up until the very last minute 😃.

Cuando llegó el último día de nuestro paseo en Entre Ríos, mis amigas y yo estábamos más que contentas con todo lo que habíamos podido hacer. Fueron tres días increíbles en los que aprovechamos para pasear bastante pero también para descansar un poco. Lo más importante fue que pudimos desconectar de la rutina y recargar energías para volver a afrontar una semana de trabajo. Y estuvimos aprovechando la escapada hasta literal el último minuto 😃.

For the last day of our long weekend, we decided to visit the neighboring town of San José and spend some time at its thermal park. Although our main plan had been to visit the Colón Hot Springs, we still had one free day left to explore another place. We loved having the opportunity to discover more hot spring pools, and even though it looked like it might rain, the weather ended up being kind to us. Since our bus home was scheduled to leave at midnight, we returned to our apartment early so we could shower and go out for a few farewell drinks before heading back.

Para nuestro último día de fin de semana largo, habíamos decidido ir hasta la localidad vecina San José para disfrutar de su parque termal. Si bien nuestra idea principal había sido ir a visitar las Termas de Colón, todavía teníamos un día libre para ir a visitar otro lugar más. Nos encantó tener la posibilidad de ir a conocer más piletas con agua caliente, y a pesar de que parecía que iba a llover, el clima fue bueno con nosotras. Ese día teníamos el bus de regreso a la medianoche, así que volvimos temprano a casa para poder ducharnos y salir a beber algo como despedida.

One of the great things about this trip, which took place in October of last year, was that we were right in the middle of spring. That meant even the evenings had pleasant weather, making them perfect for taking a walk outdoors. The city of Colón in Entre Ríos is not very large, so we were able to walk from our accommodation to the town center. The night before, we had discovered a bar called La Gintonería and absolutely loved it, so we decided to return on our final night. Of course, we ordered a few gin and tonics and toasted to another trip together in the near future.

Lo bueno de este viaje en el mes de octubre del año pasado, fue que estábamos justo en la mitad de la primavera. Esto hacía que incluso las noches tuvieran buen clima, ideales para ir a dar un paseo al aire libre. La ciudad de Colón en Entre Ríos no es muy grande, así que desde nuestro alojamiento pudimos ir caminando hasta el centro. La noche anterior habíamos conocido un bar llamado La Gintonería que nos encantó, así que en nuestra última noche volvimos a ir. Por supuesto, tomamos unos gin tonics y brindamos por un nuevo viaje pronto.

This trip was very special to me because it was one of the first ones I took after becoming a salaried employee with a steady income. It was certainly more comfortable to travel with a more flexible budget, but it was just as fun because I still maintain the same essence that has always defined my way of traveling. I truly enjoyed my backpacking years, and although I can no longer travel as often as I used to, I’m happy that moments like this still come along and allow me to keep exploring and creating new memories. Fortunately, my country, Argentina, is full of beautiful places waiting to be discovered.

Este paseo fue muy especial para mí porque fue uno de los primeros que hice siendo empleada con un sueldo fijo. La verdad que fue muy cómodo poder viajar con un presupuesto más holgado, aunque igual que divertido porque yo sigo manteniendo mi esencia. Disfruté mucho mi etapa viajera y aunque ahora ya no puedo hacerlo tanto como antes, me alegra que sigan existiendo momentos como este que me permitan hacerlo y generar nuevos recuerdos. Por suerte, mi país Argentina tiene un montón de lugares hermosos para ir a visitar.

Once our evening of drinks came to an end, we practically ran back to our apartment to pick up our luggage and walked to the bus terminal. Of course, one or two gin cocktails don’t have much of an effect, but they were enough to put us in a cheerful mood and bring our trip to a close on a high note. What followed was a peaceful journey home, and a few hours later, a return to our regular jobs. But it wasn’t just any ordinary start to the week—it was one filled with more positive energy than usual after sharing yet another wonderful getaway with friends 😃.

Una vez que nuestra noche de copas terminó, volvimos casi corriendo a nuestro departamento a buscar nuestro equipaje y caminamos hasta la terminal de buses. Por supuesto que una o dos copas de gin no tienen un gran efecto, pero si lograron ponernos lo suficientemente "alegres" como para finalizar nuestro viaje con el mejor humor. Lo que siguió fue un tranquilo viaje de regreso a casa, y en unas horas posteriores, de nuevo a nuestros trabajos normales. Pero ese no fue un inicio de semana cualquiera: fue uno con más buena energía que siempre, tras haber vivido otra buena escapada con amigas 😃.
