Hello everyone! After an inspiring visit to the Natural History Center of Serbia, about which I wrote in the previous post and where we explored the story of life indoors, our adventure continued outside, into a place where imagination meets the prehistoric world. Welcome to the Dino Park in Svilajnac, where dinosaurs come back to life in the most exciting way, especially for children.

At the very entrance to the Svilajnac Nature Center there is a huge replica of a dinosaur. My children immediately ran to hug it and couldn't wait to see what they would see inside.

First you enter the museum part, which I wrote about in the previous post, and then from the museum building you go to the spacious courtyard where the Dino park is located.

The moment we stepped outside, the kids' excitement reached a whole new level. Towering dinosaur replicas stood all around us, detailed and lifelike, making it feel as if we had traveled millions of years back in time. There was something magical in the way children reacted, not with fear, but with pure curiosity and wonder. They ran from one dinosaur to another, asking questions, comparing sizes, and imagining what life might have looked like when these giants ruled the Earth.

My daughter was thrilled when she got into the dinosaur's mouth and begged me to take pictures of her in all kinds of ways.

One of the highlights of the day was the volcano installation. It added an exciting element to the experience, reminding us of the powerful forces that once shaped our planet. Moments like these show how learning doesn't always come from books, but from experiences that engage all the senses.

Of course, the park also includes a children's playground, perfectly designed to balance education and fun. After exploring and "meeting" dinosaurs, the kids shifted into play mode, climbing, running, and laughing. It's in these transitions that you really see how naturally children connect learning with joy when given the right environment.

We visited this place before Easter, so a workshop was organized in the park where children painted Styrofoam eggs. In our country, it is customary to paint eggs for Easter.

As parents, days like this carry a deeper meaning. Watching our children experience something new, seeing their eyes light up with curiosity, reminds us why these moments matter. It's not just about where we go, but about what they feel and remember. These are the days that quietly shape their view of the world, full of discovery, questions, and imagination.

There's also something grounding in sharing these experiences together. Stepping away from routine, screens, and daily obligations, and simply being present in a place that invites exploration.

A day with dinosaurs in Svilajnac was a perfect family outing and reminder that learning can be playful, that nature and history can inspire, and that the best memories are often created in the simplest moments we share together.
Thank you for reading and have a great day! 😊
