Well, the last nine days since I posted have been packed to the brim. I am just in awe at how much life is happening to me. During that time I have been at the VA hospital with the hubs for cool study participant reasons, mowed more than any one human should, travled hundreds and hundreds of miles for various reasons, became the proud owner of a UTV for the hubs so he can putter around the ranch in a way that helps him do things, and oh yes, I am now the proud owner of many sapphires that I mined. So many sapphires!
It's been a week.
But, I got sapphires! A lot of them! Some of them were so fine I paid to have them heat treated and cut and valued, I am so, so excited.
I may be part dwarf.

In Phillipsburg, Montana, which is about five hours from me, you can mine your own sapphires, which I did, multiple times. I get gold fever so badly. I wonder if I am related to Thorin Oakenshield....
There's just something about July too, I've been mowing, and picking and freezing raspberries, and oh yes, we have that massive building going in right outside and the hubs has been helping with the new and 21st century improved hydro installation so it's just a big swirling mass of A LOT!

I also took the hubs to a Clint Black concert at this place called Happy's which is a concert venue in the woods int he middle of nowhere about 40 miles east of Libby, Montana. Happy's was awesome, Clint Black was even better, and the people, the people gave me hope. I've missed regular country people, I even met some of my classmate's family while I was there, and I had an absolute blast!
And then there are all the cat friend encounters. Jojo has been consistent in her murdering of the local small critters and leaving them in the house. This morning I almost stepped on a carefully vivisected liver next to my kitchen table. Petals kitten baby is growing and will be weaned pretty soon, and I made a new friend in Phillipsburg, meet Smokey!

Smokey ran across the street in front of me when I visited this bakery down the hill from our AirBnB, he even ran in the bakery and hopped in my lap. He sat there with his head rammed into my arm, purring in my lap as I sipped my coffee. I loved Smokey.
Okay, I loved last week in general. Yes, I am exhausted. Yes, I have breathed in far too much smoke and grass and dust, but still, life is just awesome. But right now, right now I am going to go take a much needed nap. This Kat is fried lol!

We got our sapphires from the Spokane Bar mine by Helena... Cool there are more mines a slight bit closer to us. They are VERY addicting for sure!
