Holy Get Around Girl!

I have put in some miles ya'll! That's right though, I made it back. Well, back to my farm in North Idaho at least, have a couple of things to do while I am here, namely getting to see my kiddos for a minute, before heading back up north to the ranch in the woods.

But holy moly, did I ever outdo myself last week. I flew over 15 thousand miles, walked over 70 miles, enjoyed the wonders that is the Swiss and French transit system (I am very well-versed at using the metro now, which is saying something as I am a medium-aged wilderness dweller by trade), and over all had a once in a lifetime experience.

I also did full time college coursework through the whole dang thing!

Which is why my blogging schedule took a bit of a fall off. There is only so much Kat to go around.

That said, I thought I would kick off my hopeful return to posting more frequently with some lovely flowers from the City of Light.

I really enjoyed my time in Paris. In fact, I think I will go back. There is about a gazillion restaurants left for me to try. Plus, I think it's only fair for me to buy something and try something from each vendor in the Bastille Market. YUM! That place is just splendid.

In Paris though, there were just so many beautiful flowers. Everywhere I turned there were roses, lilacs, stocks, wisteria, and more. The smell of all those lovely petals hit my nostrils almost as much as pastries, roast chicken, and other culinary delights.

I will wholeheartedly concur now that Paris is a foodie's dream. I wish to snack on a galette right now. Or some thinly sliced octopus, or just a lovely fresh baguette with some olive oil and balsamic to dip it in. I am not picky.

But this is not a food post, it's a flowers and I am getting back into the groove of things, bloom of things post. I have missed my normal every other day posting on here so much. There's so much to write about, so much has happened!

That said, I do have about three or four more weeks of intense school work before the spring semester ends. But just having school to do isn't too daunting. Plus, I am going to be taking on a ranch food jungle project, and I was told that all my garlic that I planted last fall is up and thriving. I am soooo delighted about that.

So I guess you could say my enthusiasm is in bloom too. As always with travel, it enhanced my perspective, and by it, I mean my melee through Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Germany, Switzerland, and Paris over the last thirty days. I have seen many things, tried many things, done many things, and I am so, so grateful to have experienced all of it.

Now if you will excuse me, I most desperately need a nap!!
