I like these little places that most people have never heard of. You'll have to let us know what that rum tastes like. TO me rum is so common that I rarely taste the difference between any of them unless they add something crazy to it like chili peppers

Some of the higher end ones have a lot more molasses taste than your typical Captain Morgan. Which actually, is probably more like spiced rum should be, but my wife prefers Captain. The other stuff tastes "fake" to her :) By the way, I visited a Vietnamese restaurant the other day down in Columbus, OH. I'm not sure it was super authentic, but it was tasty!

I had a Captain copy that is made in Asia a few months back and it oddly tasted like I would imagine chalk would taste. I've never actually eaten chalk but there was something about the flavor that made me feel like this is what chalk would taste like if I were to eat it. I didn't order a 2nd one.
