Wellsforall celebrates world water day.

We celebrated yesterday as World Water Day. This day is about acknowledging all the ways we use water throughout the world. It is also about realizing the importance of water in our daily lives.

However, for many communities, celebrating World Water Day does not mark an end to the discussion of water. The conversations do not stop after the hashtag has been used and the awareness campaign has slowed. Their reality remains the same.

To them, water is not simply a subject. It is a daily pursuit. One that will consume their time and energy, and that may require making difficult decisions about whether to spend money on water or travel far to get water.

We have witnessed firsthand at WellsForAll, how having access to clean water changes lives. Instead of taking hours to get something done, it can now be completed in minutes. Families begin to experience better health. Children go back to school regularly. Communities are able to grow with new strength.

This is what real change looks like – not merely awareness but actual actions that help people. Not simply statements that describe what should happen, but statements that provide the solution to problems that exist in peoples' lives.

Therefore, the mission of WellsForAll continues. Every community deserves to have access to clean drinking water, not only today, but tomorrow and the next day.
