RE: A walk along the beach and getting to know the Calotropis procera plant (Eng - Esp)

Sometimes you have to be very careful, as you were, with unfamiliar plants; that texture might be a defence against insects, for example, or there might be tiny thorns, so it’s best not to touch them. But it’s true, the fruit caught my eye, though the flowers caught it even more, they look like a plant I was once given called the ‘wax flower’; they had the same shape and really did look like wax, they were quite plump and shiny.

It’s quite possible that a bird carried it near the beach and it has adapted to the environment. It’s always lovely to learn a little more about nature. Thank you very much for bringing this plant and the information. A big hug!💗

A veces hay que tener mucho cuidado, como lo tuviste, con plantas desconocidas, esa textura puede ser una protección contra insectos por ejemplo, o pueden ser diminutas espinas y es mejor no tocarlas. Pero es verdad me llamó la atención el fruto, pero más las flores, se parecen a una planta que una vez me regalaron llamada la flor de cera, tenía la misma forma y realmente parecían de cera, tenían bastante volumen y brillaban.

Es muy posible que algún pájaro la haya llevado cerca de la playa y se ha adaptado al ambiente. Que bueno siempre es conocer un poquito más de la naturaleza. Muchas gracias por traer esta planta y la información. Un gran abrazo!💗
