The sugarcane crop is now fully ready and farmers are harvesting sugarcane. Sugarcane harvesting is going on everywhere, but some farmers also save sugarcane for summer and do not sell it in winter because sugarcane juice is also sold in large quantities in summer. Those who buy sugarcane in winter and then store it safely use such sugarcane for juice. But now in our area, jaggery is being made mostly from sugarcane. Jaggery-making factories are present everywhere and people buy sugarcane and make jaggery from it and then heat the sugarcane juice properly and sell it. In this way, sugarcane ganterias are also made. Sugarcane is peeled and cut into small pieces and then the sugarcane ganterias are sold. In this way, whenever sugarcane production starts, many products made from sugarcane are also brought to the markets for sale. The most popular is jaggery. Local people bring jaggery to sell. They prepare it themselves using indigenous methods and then various fruits are also added to the jaggery. Some jaggery is used to make syrup and some jaggery is mostly eaten in winter. The jaggery that is eaten in winter has dry fruits added to it. Peanuts, walnuts, almonds, pistachios and other dry fruits are also eaten by dipping them in sugarcane juice and jaggery is also made in this way. And those who like to use dry fruits with jaggery eat jaggery with dry fruits.

I want to tell you one more thing, whenever the sugarcane field starts harvesting, then the people living around and the people passing by start eating sugarcane. In our area, there is a tradition that whenever a person is harvesting sugarcane and asks for sugarcane to eat, he is allowed to eat sugarcane and take the husk to suck without permission because if sugarcane is sweet or soft, then everyone likes it. But there are some sugarcane fields whose sugarcane is not suitable for eating because it is very hard and it is very difficult to peel it. So, those people like to suck sugarcane that is soft and whose husk comes off easily with their teeth. But some people are very hard-hearted. Some people do not even give a stick of sugarcane to suck and are very strict. But some farmers are very generous. If anyone goes to their field, they do not give them any excuse and do not fear anything. They give it to eat, but some people are stingy and not generous, and even if they are asked for sugarcane, they still do not give it to suck. But most people prefer the sugarcane that is soft and easy to peel. It is not that every sugarcane is suitable for sucking or eating. There are very few sugarcanes that are soft because most farmers cultivate the sugarcane that is hard and is used for factories and making jaggery. It is also true that for some people, if the sugarcane is soft and suitable for sucking, then people steal it. At night or during the day, whenever they pass by the fields, they steal the sugarcane and keep breaking the sugarcane. In this way, farmers also want their crop not to be spoiled or damaged, and people do not steal it, so they cultivate sugarcane that is hard and not suitable for sucking.

But there are also many farmers who grow such soft sugarcane that they send it as a gift to their friends so that their families can feel good and enjoy it by sucking it. Because the sugarcane that is soft and can be sucked is so sweet that it seems as if a person is sucking honey and the taste of honey and the taste of sugarcane are the same. The sugarcane that I went to today was also very beautiful and very soft and very sweet. But when I reached there, I saw that the sugarcane was being harvested and the owner of the sugarcane was not there. The women who were harvesting were women. I told them that I want to buy sugarcane for my house. Is this sugarcane sweet? They told me that of course this sugarcane is sweet and you can check it yourself. But she was telling me that if you want to buy sugarcane, then the house of the owner of the sugarcane field is nearby. You can go there and ask him and ask him. As I was talking to the harvesters, suddenly the owner of the sugarcane arrived and told me that the sugarcane that was being harvested was mine, but I will not sell it today because it is being cut for the factory owners and it is being harvested for the factory. So I told him that it is okay, I will come back after two or three days. You can sell me the sugarcane. So he told me that you should note down my number and whenever you come, tell me so that I can take good sugarcane for you and cut it so that you can eat it and then you can tell me how delicious it was. So I thanked him but he told me that I can stand here and suck as much sugarcane as I want. It is okay. And I broke a stick of sugarcane and then started eating it and peeled it. When I felt that it was very soft because when I peeled the sugarcane with my teeth, it was very soft. It was very soft and the sugarcane husks came off very easily.

When I peeled the sugarcane and started sucking the sugarcane, there was so much juice inside the sugarcane, so much juice and the taste of this juice was just like honey, so it was a special sugarcane and I wish that after a few days I will go and bring this sugarcane home so that my children can also eat this sugarcane. If I tell you that the sugarcane fields here have been cultivated for many years, it will not be wrong because whenever we pass through here in the winter season, these long and many acres of sugarcane fields are there and every time I wish that I could buy sugarcane from here and take it home. But today was the first time that I stopped the motorcycle and then I tasted and ate sugarcane from here and also got information. In this way, these sugarcane fields seem very good to me for eating because the sugarcane here is very soft and its taste is also very sweet and sweet and its taste is like drinking honey water and there are many fields around here but the sugarcane of every field is not edible because some sugarcane is very hard but soft sugarcane is necessary for eating.
One more thing I want to write here is that sugarcane is being harvested at this time and the sugarcane harvesting season has just started. But if you travel to Mianwali district and go from Mianwali to Bannu Road or towards Kala Bagh, you will see sugarcane factories everywhere on the main road. Those sugarcane factories are factories where sugarcane is brought from the fields and there the sugarcane is cleaned, then the juice of this sugarcane is extracted and then this juice is converted into jaggery. And if you travel from Mianwali to Kala Bagh towards Isa Khel or towards Bannu, you will see these jaggery factories everywhere. I have written above that sugarcane factories are not those factories that make jaggery, rather I want to say that the jaggery factories that make jaggery are very simple and use old methods to make jaggery. First the sugarcane is cleaned, then The juice is extracted from the sugarcane and then in large pots there are very large pots which are heated over a fire. Sugarcane juice is poured into them. When those large pots are filled with sugarcane juice, then a fire is lit under them. The wood for lighting the fire is also the sugarcane peel from which the juice has been extracted and it is dried in the sun. Then this dried sugarcane is used as firewood. It is used as wood to light the fire. Then under these large pots this sugarcane burns like wood and then the sugarcane juice thickens and takes the form of jaggery. Thus, this sugarcane season is full of beautiful and delicious foods in every way.
