Wow, talk about perfect timing! I'm glad you went, had fun, and got out in time. I wish I could see your pictures but they aren't displaying for some reason. My wife's cousin owns a condo in PV and they were under a lockdown the day everything erupted. They could hear machine gun fire and explosions from their building. Traveling by air is a huge ordeal now. Our airport (MSP) is surprisingly efficient but you can pretty much count on delays and problems and many of the other ones—JFK in NY is the worse I've encountered...always construction and it's a given that your flight will be delayed.

I heard there was a nationwide lock down, but that lots of people ignored it. Supposedly two of the attendees at the conference were in a taxi that was shot at. No way to really know who or what was doing the violence. I know our own CIA is not above staging this type of event to fool the public into voting for this or that, and that there is evidence that the same is what happened there.
My goodness, I hated every minute of flying, and I flew first class. What a load of baloney. Maybe I'll take a boat to Ireland when I go. That sounds just as bad though.

You don't expect to be shot at when you go on vacation to a beach town. MSM was saying it was a Mexican Army operation but then, later, I heard our special forces had some involvement in it.
Flying is super stressful these days. I try to leave early in the morning if I can because it increases your odds of getting where you're going on time. I also avoid connections if I can, connecting flights are asking for trouble. Domestic air travel kind of feels like hopping on a Greyhound bus these days. : )

No nationwide lockdown has occured nor was it announced there would be one. As far I know everyone continued their day like nothing happened. As far as most locals say, it's just another day in Mexico with cartels doing cartel things against glorified cartels. Most people I've met are aware that governments are just another cartel body.
