When we dreamed up Camp Artemis, it wasn’t just about building a campground. It was about creating a space where people could step away from the fast pace of everyday life and rediscover something we all long for but rarely get enough of—real connection. Connection to nature, to each other, and to ourselves.
In our own lives, we’ve felt the pull of the digital world more than ever. Phones, computers, and screens are always demanding attention, leaving little room to slow down. But when you walk into the woods, sit around a fire, or share a meal with new friends under the stars, something shifts. That’s the heartbeat of Camp Artemis—helping people find that shift.
At Camp Artemis, there isn't any Wi-Fi, but the signal from the earth is strong. We want people to leave their phones behind for a while and see what it feels like to wake up to the sound of birds instead of an alarm. To watch kids play without needing a screen. To have conversations that don’t get interrupted by a buzz in your pocket. That’s what digital detox looks like here—freedom from the constant noise, so you can hear yourself think again.
One of our deepest missions is to teach skills that reconnect us to the land. Too often, people feel disconnected from where their food comes from, how their homes are built, or how their bodies move. At Camp Artemis, we’re bringing back those skills in a way that’s approachable and fun.

Here are some of the classes and workshops we’re offering:
What we really want is for people to come here and leave with more than just memories of a trip. We want them to leave with a new perspective. Maybe it’s the joy of cooking food they foraged with their own hands, or the confidence of building something with natural materials. Maybe it’s simply the peace that comes from spending a few days unplugged and watching the sun set without distraction.
Camp Artemis is a place to practice simplicity, community, and curiosity. It’s about remembering that happiness doesn’t come from a screen or a shopping cart—it comes from experiences, from learning, from being present. It's all about human connection to each other and our natural environment.
We’re building this space slowly, with intention, and we’re excited to share it with anyone who feels called to join us. If you’ve ever felt the need to step away, to recharge, or to just breathe a little deeper, then Camp Artemis is waiting for you.
Come join us under the open sky. Let’s reconnect together in the Hudson Valley.
