RE: πŸŽ‚ πŸ’₯ POL: Nine Years on the Hive Blockchain! πŸ’₯ πŸŽ‚

Yes, it has definitely fallen. I initiated my first "getting out" powerdown in early Mar 2023, when prices were ~$0.40 ea. I stopped it, though, as the "pull" was still quite strong to not give up on Hive. After choosing to begin posting again, to begin 2024, I was confronted very quickly with an injustice which provided what I needed to finally get out, once and for all.

Prices were again +$0.40 ea. at that time, but had plummeted down to ~$0.27 ea., at the end of the full 13 weeks required to fully powerdown. I was able to get over half out above $0.35 ea., so considering where it is today, I have no complaints.

Going clear back to the early days of launching the Steem blockchain (Hive's predecessor), I believe the correct investor view of the value proposition, then and now, was to see it as an experiment. An experiment combining the universal human desire for affirmation with ... $$s.

I did not understand this very well, for literally years. Combined with the absence (mentioned in this post) of any meaningful way to deal with the shortcomings of human nature, it was a costly mistake ...

Yes, I was around for steemit as well. I started my account 9 years ago when we moved to Panama. A lot of the people I knew from early on have since left and done well. I saw my account total go from $3k to currently around $900 or so. Thankfully I've always seen it as just somewhere that I play around. Even my son and husband were on for a while, but I bought all their whatever-it-is from them. Good fun. I guess I'll just hang around until it's worth $0. ;) I am so infrequently posting on here, I don't guess it really even matters. Have a good one.
