A Look at the Cathedral (Eng/Esp)

The Cathedral is a well-known and very popular landmark in the city of Cumaná; its location, right in the center, makes it a favorite venue for celebrating important events such as baptisms, weddings, graduations, and various Masses.

This religious site boasts an impressive structure and is maintained to a high standard; its facilities are always immaculate. It is painted in shades of beige and light blue—two of the most popular colors for churches—as these pastel hues convey a sense of tranquility, which is exactly what visitors seek when they come here.

Its architecture is impressive, which is why it stands out from a distance. Around it are giant planters with a few plants or shrubs. On this occasion, the sky was particularly blue, which made it stand out even more.

While I was exploring the grounds, I was surprised to hear a rooster crow. I don’t know what purpose it serves here, but its call is unmistakable. The truth is that this little incident will remain an anecdote and bring a few smiles when I tell the story.

I love exploring the city—I always find interesting places that catch my attention. Paying attention to the little details helps us appreciate life and notice all its nuances.

La iglesia Catedral es un lugar reconocido y muy popular en la ciudad de Cumaná, su ubicación, justo en el centro, la convierte en una de las preferidas para celebrar eventos importantes como bautizos, matrimonios, graduaciones y diferentes misas.

Este recinto religioso posee una estructura impresionante y un cuidado que impacta, sus instalaciones siempre están pulcras. Está pintada de colores beige y azul claro, dos de los preferidos cuando de iglesias se trata, pues estos colores pasteles trasmiten tranquilidad, lo que se busca cuando se acude a este lugar.

Su arquitectura es impresionante, de allí que destaque desde lejos. En sus alrededores tiene materos gigantes con algunas plantas o arbustos. En esta ocasión, el cielo estaba particularmente azul por eso resaltaba aún más.

Mientras exploraba el recinto me sorprendió escuchar a un gallo, no sé qué función tendrá aquí, pero su sonido es inconfundible. Lo cierto es que este hecho quedará de anécdota y causará algunas sonrisas cuando lo cuente.

Me encanta recorrer la ciudad siempre encuentro lugares interesantes en donde fijar la atención. Valorar los pequeños detalles nos hace apreciar la vida y percibir todos sus matices.
