The storm-damaged road turning into a driving exam is the part that got me, dodging craters just to reach the place sounds stressful. But the view from the hill facing the formations sounds worth it. And the bank robber legend with the red rivers after rain is brilliant, I'd be half tempted to visit in the rain too, screams or not. Did the road get any better on your way back?

Yes, had this trip somewhere in July, I believe and ever since I have already revisited this place 3 times and the road is all good now even if still unpaved. Me and my bf visited the ravine even during the night when we decided to sleep there! Except for some jackal screams heard quite often, there wasn't anything else giving us shivers going down the spine. And we'll surely return for more!
Sleeping right there in the ravine sounds brave, jackal screams and all. Three return visits says everything though, the road being fixed must help. Is a night stay there now part of the ritual every time you go back?
