We had no strict plan to follow; instead, we simply wandered along whichever streets caught our attention, enjoying the atmosphere and discovering something interesting at every turn.

🥈 Visit Portugal - Zoo da Maia by @portugalcoin

Some Sundays are made for wobbly ice creams, steep little paths and way too many "father,look" moments, and that's exactly how we spent ours at Zoo da Maia, a small hillside zoo in the city of Maia, just north of Porto. It has quietly become one of our son's favorite outings, the kind of place he asks for by name whenever we're planning a weekend. We wandered a grey autumn morning between enclosures, and even without a drop of sunshine, the animals were in full show-off mode.
