Hey, hey! This is @gabrielatravels, and I am excited to bring you a brand new edition of #TravelDigest! ❤️
Today's post is going to take you on a virtual tour with stops on a trail in Spain, a cave in Indonesia, and a chapel in Vatican. We also have the honourable mentions, where you can get a few more travel postcards from Portugal, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Venezuela, so don't forget to check these posts too! 😊
Unlike other, more crowded routes, this stretch was quite deserted, though I was lucky enough to run into a few hikers along the way. This is something I always appreciate on my solo hikes: running into other people—even if it’s just one person or a couple of pairs along the entire route—brings me peace of mind. It makes me feel like I’m on the right path and, at the same time, reassures me that I’m safe. I know that if I ever need help, there’s someone else nearby, even if they’re a stranger.

In front of the cave, there was a building that looked like a fairly large hut. Inside the building, there were also several people who were resting. Before exploring the cave, I first approached them to ask for some information about the place.

As you finish your tour of the Gallery of Maps, a truly magical part of the visit to the Vatican Museums begins. The highlight is the historic Sistine Chapel, the very place where cardinals gather to elect a new Pope for the Catholic Church, but, to my surprise, before reaching it, you can spend hours wandering through various halls filled with frescoes. It makes you reflect on the countless hours these artists must have spent lying near the ceilings or against the walls, working with extreme care to avoid any mistakes that could ruin the painstaking process of painting or creating art on wet plaster or lime.

The pleasure was all ours! 😎

Congrats again! 🤗
You've been curated by @plantpoweronhive! Delegations welcome!
The section about the Sistine Chapel, as a painter, caught my attention more than anything else. Thinking about the patience and skill needed to create those murals makes visiting such a place even more meaningful. I also like that these stories show that travel isn't just about seeing famous places, but that unexpected discoveries and quiet moments along the way are part of it too. Thanks for sharing these beautiful trips.
Absolutely. Plenty of cool posts in today's TD!
