Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have an oceanarium in Valencia, Spain, an adventure in the island of Corsica, France, and a fortress in Turnu Magurele, Romania. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
The next stop on our Spain trip was Oceanogràfic, the huge oceanarium tucked into the old riverbed park of the City of Arts and Sciences. Opened in 2003 and designed by the architect Félix Candela, it is the largest aquarium complex in Europe, home to around 45,000 animals from some 500 species, and we spent an entire day wandering between its shell shaped buildings.

When it cleared up in the afternoon, it was supposed to be just a short walk – but it turned into 9 kilometres with more than 300 metres of elevation gain up to a suspension bridge spanning a valley, hanging at least 130 metres above the ground. Exciting and a bit shaky at the same time! By the evening our feet hurt quite a bit – after the risotto dinner we fell straight into the tent. 😄

One last stop before the little adventure to the southern side of Romania came to an end was at the Turris Fortress from Turnu Magurele, which is more known under the name of The Turnu Fortress and which was renovated recently.
Sadly, when it comes to places that have been part of history in Romania, very few of them properly enjoy a renovation or maintenance done occasionally, most of them being left in ruins and completely forgotten until nature claims them as its own.
