Hey, hey! This is @gabrielatravels, and I am excited to bring you a brand new edition of #TravelDigest! ❀️

We also have the honourable mentions, where you can get a few more travel postcards from Egypt, Italy, Spain, Venezuela, and Cuba, so don't forget to check these posts too! 😊

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @worldmappin, our curation trail, and potentially @blocktrades. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

Our winners today

πŸ₯‡ The Aqueducts and Legendary Theater of Aspendos - Turkey by @ellie-mai

This is not only a functional structure, but also a work of art. Its walls built from neat limestone blocks and beautiful arches reveal the mastery of ancient builders who managed to create a structure that has managed to survive for more than two thousand years. Rumor has it that ancient builders strengthened their mortar by mixing it with milk, which is why the aqueduct is still standing. The arches are woven from wedge shaped stones that fit together seamlessly, giving this structure both durability and elegance.

πŸ₯ˆ Our Adventures on the Islands of Ischia and Capri by @sararossi

The volcano also provides thermal waters. Ischia is famous for its thermal springs; there are over a hundred springs here. The two largest and most well known thermal parks are Poseidon and Negombo. However, we had our little nephews with us, so we did not go there; but we had many very interesting things to see.

πŸ₯‰ The Adventure at the Sucre House Comes to an End (Eng/Esp) by @ramisey

As a point of interest, this section states: "Antonio Jose de Sucre was fascinated by bread with cheese and wine. He also enjoyed olleta de gallo, corgullΓ³n mantuano, and traditional stews with his family." Sharing a meal and enjoying these delicacies was part of the local customs.
