Hey, hey! This is @gabrielatravels, and I am pleased to bring you a brand new edition of #TravelDigest! ❤️
Today's post is going to take you on a virtual tour with stops at one museum in Venezuela, more places in Turkey, and another museum in Venezuela. We also have the honourable mentions list, where you can get a few more travel postcards from Cuba, Italy, Albania, Indonesia, and India, so don't forget to check these posts too! 😊
Inside the museum, the first thing we encounter is a replica of the original image at the entrance, and as we walk through its corridors, we can see several paintings depicting the Virgin and the famous procession, created by regional artists and others from across Venezuela. Here, we can appreciate the vibrant colors each artist brings to their work to represent the Virgin and her large procession.

Set aside 2-3 hours for yourself to tour the city. This time will be more than enough. It’s a small place and is divided into a few sections. One part is the old zone with ancient Greek and Roman structures, theaters, columns and ruins. After this, your path slowly leads to the shopping street, which is very well restored and packed with plenty of shops, trade, restaurants and cafes. But everything is in a non-bothersome dose. Afterwards, you reach the coast. Side has a super tiny beach here.

I thought I would only find marine species, but the collection includes other items, such as various models of ships, submarines, diving suits, and the evolution of rudders over time. Among the ships was the Tres Carabelas, the vessel sailed by Christopher Columbus, who discovered the Americas and landed on the Cumanese coast, making it the first landmass he reached on the continent. The first rudders were enormous; later, as they were perfected, their size gradually decreased in order to exert greater control over the ships.
