Our winners today

🥇 Exploring Whale Bay, Alaska by Kayak by @dtam

What an adventure! Today I took our guests, aboard the expedition ship Safari Explorer, to a bay in Prince William Sound that we have never been to before. This is what expedition travel is all about. We are all exploring together. This afternoon I had planned on showing them the massive Chenega tidewater glacier, but it had dropped so much ice into Icy Bay, that getting anywhere near it was impossible. So, after studying the charts of nearby adventure options, we decided to take the boat into the neighboring Whale Bay.

🥈 Bamble church, Norway's first Gothic Revival (neo-Gothic) wooden church by @hindavi

We visited the Bamble Church, which is known as Norway's first Neo-Gothic church, alongside the ruins of the Olav Church. We hadn't originally planned to visit this church, as our friend Anni lives nearby, and over the years, we've visited her several times. However, we had never thought of seeing the church. The last few years it was under some repairs.

🥉 Un paseo por Paseo/A Walk Along Paseo (Esp-Eng) by @kpoulout

Other times I've shown you and told you about my adventures and escapades through Havana's Vedado neighborhood, but today I'm going to focus on one specific area: Paseo Avenue. When you walk along it, you realize this is a wide street with a large median strip between the two lanes, full of trees and a few benches to sit on. Just covering this stretch that connects the cold majesty of Revolution Square with the civilian bustle of the Malecón — where this immense avenue ends — is enough to grasp the grandeur of Cuba's capital.
