🥇 Let's get to know The Royal Fortress of Santiago de Arroyo in Araya/ Conozcamos La Real Fortaleza de Santiago de Arroyo en Araya🧳🏰🏖️🏝️ by @nancybriti1

The Araya Castle is the oldest fortification in Venezuela and although it has undergone repairs, it is now in ruins. Its construction dates back to 1623 and it was built by the Spanish to repel Dutch soldiers who wanted to control the salt flats. After it was built, in 1762, during the Anglo-Spanish war, it was partially destroyed.

🥈 Lapas - A Sunlit Village in the Cold Himalayas by @elsaenroute

We kept going, thinking he might have kept the wool in his other house uphill. Upon reaching the place, we got to the surprising reason why we had to hike all that way. He felt it would be dark soon,n and we won’t be able to go back. So, he arranged a stay for us to spend the night in his second home, where he keeps his livestock.

🥉 Australia: The Sydney Opera House After a Visit to Milson Park [Eng - Esp] by @belug

The park was empty of people, and I noticed a family enjoying the place. This was also the place where I really started paying attention to the birds—there are so many of them in Sydney, both in the city and in urban areas a bit further from the center. There, I began to see species that were exotic to me, since they were birds I had either never seen before or had only seen as a child at animal theme parks.
