🥇 A Sunny Day in Heidelberg by @yugadi

But here’s the thing, this castle has had some really bad luck. It survived wars. Actual wars. But nature? Yeah, that’s what got it. In the late 1600s, the French army attacked it and blew it up. And then just when people were fixing it again, lightning strikes it. Not once, but twice! The second time was in 1764 and caused a fire that basically destroyed the whole thing.

🥈 A Day in Hamburg, Germany by @larissalugo

Hamburg is perfectly positioned on the Elbe. It’s the main reason the port has become a real global giant. Everywhere in the city is connected by water, canals and bays. The water level here at the estuary changes due to tides. The North sea is only one hundred kilometers away. They’ve got these clever lock systems in place to manage the water levels, which keeps all the ship traffic flowing smoothly. Believe it or not the number of bridges in Hamburg is greater than the total number of bridges in Amsterdam and Venice combined.

🥉 🌊 WE VISITED THE FAMOUS LIGHTHOUSE IN NAZARE-A PLACE WITH A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD 🌊(ENG-ESP) by @quiubi

This lighthouse is located in northern Portugal; it stands alongside a fort called São Miguel Arcanjo and has been a tourist attraction since 1978. As we can see in the photos, the fort is situated atop a cliff surrounded by large rocks and exposed to harsh weather conditions. It was built by the former king of Portugal between 1557 and 1578; this site served as a defensive position against potential threats from unwanted ships at the entrance to the town of Nazaré.
