It was kind of illusion that when I was getting closer to mountain peak, it felt like that it was getting more and more far away from the place was beyond the tree beyond the non-tropical zone where the trees and other vegetation does not grow, so nothing for the reference. The mountain peaks looked that they were kind of closer to us, but indeed, so far away.

Our next stop was the ruins of a synagogue a place I never thought I would see in this island. This spot has an interesting story. The Moors took over the peninsula and the Jews worked with them and did business with them. Then the Reconquista. The Jews were forced to leave and go to Portugal first. After that they were expelled from Portugal too.
