šŸ„‡ My Montenegro Travel Notes Part 3 - Žabljak, Durmitor, Đurđevića Tara and Piva Lake by @ellie-mai

A kilometer off the coast, there are two rocky islets and a small church sits atop one of them. Unfortunately, it’s hard to see it up close because of the distance and in any case, you’d need to rent a boat. But with enough determination, I believe everything is possible. After a warm spring day, we hopped into our car and drove straight to the town of Žabljak without stopping.

🄈 Piraeus by @godfish

The Liverpool of Greece. Way more Greek than multicultural Athens; and don’t you even dare mix the two up: ā€œPireote, not Athenian!ā€ Who cares that the two cities share public transport, who cares that it only takes thirty minutes from downtown Athens to Piraeus. Just like The Pool, Piraeus has its own football deity, its own music and art scenes (the latter was a letdown, though), its own industrial past, which, technically speaking, spans almost three millennia. And just like Scousers, Pireotes are freakishly proud of being from this very corner of the world.

šŸ„‰ ON THE ROAD - PONTA DO SAL, BOA VISTA by @marc-allaria

With such names as "Boa Vista", and "Ponta do sol", no doubt that I was heading straight to places rich in light! The north of the island of Boa Vista in Cape Verde has been classified as natural heritage by the authorities. It extends from the north of the city of Sal Rei to the northern coastline and also includes a strip of 300m of sea. All this for an area of nearly 800 hectares. The reasons for its protection come from the presence of particular birds, including the straw-tail, the osprey, the presence of dunes where many fossils are buried, areas of volcanic landscapes or even the simple desire to protect this area from all urban constructions. In short, in other words, there is quite a bit of room to walk quietly without meeting anyone or almost, and that’s what I did!
