Hey, hey! This is @gabrielatravels, and I am pleased to bring you another Friday edition of #TravelDigest! ❤️
Travel doesn’t always move in straight lines as in fact, today's top 3 don’t seem to have much in common. From a Breeding Center tucked into Ecuador’s natural landscape, to a peaceful botanical garden in the middle of Madrid, and a quiet farm of old mills in Cuba, they are part of different countries and different moods, but definitely with lots of good stories written. In addition, we have a list of honourable mentions that bring extra travel suggestions from more parts of the globe.
Thanks for bringing your daily contributions to our beautiful community, and I hope you enjoy today's Travel Digest! ❤️
In these two sections of the greenhouse, we found beautiful orchids, heliocondas with their red or orange-tipped flowers, carnivorous plants, numerous hanging plants, plants that seem to grow from other plants, and a small pond with water lilies and small red-orange fish.

Another interesting thing here is learning about the story of Lonesome George, the last individual of the Chelonoidis abingdonii species. He was found on Pinta Island and moved to this place in 1972, where he lived until his death on June 24, 2012. They estimate that he was over 100 years old. Incidentally, its caretaker for three decades was Fausto Llerena, after whom this center is named. Despite their efforts, they were unable to get it to reproduce.

It's interesting to know the origin of its name. It turns out that this was the farm for rest of the Captains General during the Spanish colonial period in the 19th century. There were also watermills powered by the water from the Royal Ditch to grind tobacco. For this reason, the locals began to call it Farm of the Mills, and this name has survived to the present day.

Thank so much for the Honourable mentions! 💞 I'm very glad, and happy for the other chosen, but you mixed the context of my post up a bit. That is not the Selime Castle, but a some no name hill, but it is located in Selime village, and it was a road to selime castle, but an unlucky one, we didnt reach the place that day.
My bad, thanks for pointing that out and congrats again! 💕
Thanks so much for the mention and support! ❤️
