Hello everyone, Worldmappin friends! Happy New Year 2026 to all! I hope you've started the new year in the best way possible. Here's @lauramica presenting today's Travel Digest, the first of 2026! My wish for this year is that we never lack travel and opportunities to keep discovering new places ❤️.
On this first day of January, our featured posts take us around the world, passing through incredible places like Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, India, Indonesia, Venezuela, and Canada, among others. A little bit of everything, perfect for a great virtual trip!
Thank you all for sharing your posts on the map! The Worldmappin team wishes you an amazing start to 2026 and hopes you continue to fulfill all your dreams. Cheers! 😃❤️
The journey that my two daughters and I embarked on because of the war, in March 2022, became our #TheLongestTrip. I wrote my traditional report post about the third year a little late, but I wanted to have time to write it in 2025, and I did it! :) So, I invite you to walk with me through my memories of the third year of our longest journey, and see the most beautiful places in the 9 countries we visited during the year: Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria.

Today is the day to express our gratitude for all the wonderful things that happened in 2025. There were many ups and downs in this adventure we call life, but we navigated them well and found our bright path. Time has brought us closer together, and we have succeeded as friends. The year flew by incredibly fast.. Here, I am sharing some of my experiences from January to December. They include memorable travel posts that showcase both local adventures in nature and other enjoyable moments in different places.

In this post I will share my experience when visiting Kuala Langsa village or often called floating village. I have visited this village several times but I have only explored about 50% of this village, there are still many places and areas that I have not explored and that is the curiosity that makes me want to continue visiting it, besides being able to see the uniqueness of the buildings and infrastructure, there we can also learn from life that is different from life in general, for example our public transportation now is motorbikes and cars and in floating villages they even more commonly use boats or boats for daily life.
